Can't stick around for the livestream, so here's my thoughts (I watched the leak).

Fans of Spitfire have gotten a nice bit of characterization for what was before just a Wonderbolt. Spitfire takes a completely alternate attitude to RD.

The episode is full of funny moments and fairly well constructed. Merriweather Williams wrote it, so evidently she's getting better and better ever since Mare-Do-Well. RD's character is not overdone and more or less what you'd expect from her.
Not god-tier or anything but overall a nice episode.

This was a very enjoyable episode again. S3 is going really strong so far (minus the pilot).

Sure, it was a pretty predictable ep, yet it was still cool, and it showed more of RD's good side again; and ultimately, it is a character-driven show, not a plot-driven one, so the predictableness of the story doesn't matter as much if we get to see nice character developments.

except lightning dust actually has the same skills as rainbow dash just different personality. Trixie is nowhere near twilight in magical skills as shown in the season 1 episode with trixie. And in season 3 having to use amulet to beat twilight.
