Awesome episode. Magic dueling was such a cool concept, Yoda Zecora and Pony shopkeeper was just brilliant, AND THAT FOURTH WALL BREAK AT THE END. I JUST LOST IT. EVIL AMULET/10. GG NO RE | ||

Even though most of the episode was focused on Twilight, I loved the fact that the writers have incorporated more of the Mane6 working together (read: abusing Fluttershy XD). I especially loved Fluttershy's role in this episode. Twilight's solution to the second duel was actually really smart and well-executed. Props to her! Reminds me a bit of Willow, actually. The crew's doing very well with this season so far, and I look forward to more good things in the future. | ||

+ Show Spoiler + BEST EPISODE SO FAR??? Honestly, Trixie is WAYY better than Sombra. -_______-x The mane 6 had all expressed their personalities excellently. FLUTTERSHY!! Best part was the Trixie redemption. I really hope to see her become recurring character (maybe she can make some friends in season 4 to have a rival mane6?). Overall, 10/10 | ||

It may be the fact that I have been up since 4 AM, but I simply thought it was a solid episode. I guess I don't really get as worked up about ponies as I used to. It was a fun episode relative to the quality of the show but I'm still kinda meh right now. cool concept of Trixie coming back, clever ending solid/10 It just didn't make me care as much as the last episode | ||

All in all a very good episode. The unexpected WIlhelm scream made me laugh out loud, and the writing was mostly spot on. The magic of friendship stuff was kind of contrived but I guess they had to add something that doesn't make being a bigger cheat a good thing. | ||

He evokes the "sly merchant" trope, much like the Dota 2 shopkeeper, so we all were reminded of him and of the MLP: Dota video. | ||
