Yeah, you're not the only one that feels that way . There are people in the fandom that enjoy those things. But it's all a matter of just not getting into it yourself. Beware of cupcakes and such. Took me uncomfortably long to get over that one >_< But there are other things that are fan generated that aren't the nicest things >:
As I mentioned before, I've only seen 12 (1-9, 16, 23, and 26) episodes so far, all from Season 1, but it's time to start listing anyway, in random order: Top ten favorite lines (so far) + Show Spoiler +

With extra sprinkles! 3 - (yay!) 4 - Especially since I'm the one who's better than the rest of us 5 - (Flutterguy) She's an evil enchantress (as Pinkie does interpretive dance) 6 - It. is. on! 7 - Tell me she's not... she is 8 - I got nothin'. "Twilight Sparkle?" I mean, seriously, I can't even work with that. 9 - That rainbow one kicked me! 10 - Eeyup

I got warned once for using that in these forums. Sure, it was a HotS anticipation thread so it shouldn`t have been there but ever since then I don`t feel like using it on TL, not even in this thread
Well I'm pretty sure they did say very long ago that s3 would probably start airing around December, so the fact that we'll only find out the airdate 30 days from now kind of seems like we might just actually have to wait until December.
Disclaimer: The following statements are purely based on rumors!
My guess is that S3 will air in November. I recall watching a panel from Everfree Northwest and picking up something along the lines of "just wait until November". Can't really recall when and what question it was, but I recall it had to do something about a character having an episode centered around him or so. Also heard that there may be a Scootaloo centered episode in S3 (but that was somewhere else).
Edit: Found it again. At 43:30 into the panel they hypothetically talk about the mayor having competition in the election in November. So yeah probably just quite far fetched to assume the season will air then ^^
I'm still kinda sad S3 will only have 13 episodes, I wonder what sparked that decision. Even though it has been hinted that the following season will be longer again.
