My guess is that there's going to be some "frozen in space-time" nonsense, so they won't have changed at all. The idea being that, after the Tenrou Island fights, there wasn't much room for proper progression. With another Dark Guild beaten, FT was starting to run out of people to fight without introducing new baddies completely out of thin air. However, with a 7-year time skip, but no increase in their power levels, it's like completely resetting the manga!. orz | ||

Also romeo is the kid who's Dad they saved from the first mission, and his Dad who got saved by natsu is now the 4th master of the guild, despite the fact that he isn't even close to S class OR master level man I thought they'd be doing a bit better than this but I guess they really are all fodder characters. | ||

Everyone mildly good at anything was at the island that day. No wonder the guild went downhill. Yeah, the next chapter(I hope its only one) should be romeo and his partners in search for the Tenrou Island. IMO Acnologia just did a time-warp on them. They are at the island right now saying "wtf just happened?" It's just that instead of showing it from the POV of Natsu and the others, the author showed it from the POV of the world. | ||

1) They didn't know how to end the arc, it was too hard and this is what they came up with as a conclusion 2) They want every member of Fairy Tail to become known and is an excuse to make the lesser characters to become more popular. | ||
