Would you guys recommend picking this manga up from the end of the anime or starting from the beginning? How different are they? I was just bored and started watching the anime a little while ago and finished up through Tartaros/Fairy Tail Zero tonight. Is it very different that I should just read from the beginning or just pick up the manga at the end of the Tartaros arc?

I can't speak to the newer series because I didn't watch much once it started up again but at least through the grand magic games the anime seemed to be pretty close to the manga.

yeah, I haven't really watched it since the end of the grand magic games either, so not sure how much i can be of help :/
But as Slaughter said, the anime , at least up to the grand magic games, sticked to the manga pretty much completely.

He and Erik are the only other dragon slayers we know about so far but we know Erik is also artificial. So that would mean it's either Acnologia or a character not met/not revealed to be dragon slayer yet

I'm reading other people the "that child" part is supposed to be a reference to when Grandine said that to Igneel right before Natsu met Wendy in the Oracion Seis arc
Grandine was shown as that sparkling ball of light iirc

I kinda feel like the last remaining dragonslayer is rakheid.
It could make sense, considering all the dragonslayers have lost their memories, so they don't remember him either, and we don't know much about his power yet, except that he's very close to zeref and zeref said that wendy should be meeting him very soon.
The timing fits too, with all the attention being on him atm.
p.s. is natsu going to die soon because zeref predicts that natsu will infact kill him and die himself in the process?
