Gajeel used 2nd origin (his is shadow while natsu's is lightning), and come on looking for logic in shounen. She's a secondary character, well liked with the audience and a love interest for a dragon slayer >_>; ofc she has plot armor.

Such a major plot hole IMO, as those demons were supposed to be zeref's strongest creations.
