Virtus Pro and Virtus Pro.polar have destroyed PPD's teams almost without exception for the past four years. Can NiP finally turn the tide?
|
I really don't like that the UB teams that lose have to play a second series the same day. Hoping for ppd to finally get the monkey off his back and beat VP
Just saw it's only one team that does that, so it's not as bad
|
I hope LGD let Secret picks morphling. i really want to see how strong is that hero

Theres no matches today iirc.

Secret vs LGD sounds like a grand final game. Look like TNC has the advantage of playing against a tiring loser team this afternoon.

Maybe is so good. Zai having a rough start

Even in a vacuum LGD's draft looks much more strange than what they've been running so far this tournament. Missed the draft so curious how they ended up with that.

LGD draft is so bad, Leshrac as a carry basically cant do much in late game.
|
Arc Warden has a strong win rate in the main event
|
lgd playing so awful lmao
at least feels like they're having fun though

Secret seems like the team to beat at this tournament. Both team and individual play is on point.
Yapzor's first 15 minutes on Lion seemed near perfect.

Near flawless execution, very nice. 500 or less people in a 10k+ venue look pathetic don't you think?

Okay my bad, looked like 500 while the panel was talking before game 1.

I felt like this tournament should be given to ESL instead of PGL. production felt so weak & iirc this tourney are broadcasted on tv. not a good look tbh

few weeks ago i played razor against TB. one reflection are enough to take like half of razor's hp. good luck peter lol
fata is back

|
i'm glad these heroes are not meta. this game is so boring

It's unreal how lucky VP get with engagements vs PPD teams.
|
Hope VP loses in the next round
wait how is this schedule even fair for the second WB2 loser?
Shouldn't the other LBR4 game be played today instead to give them enough prep time?

It's always these fraction of a second plays that turn games when ppd goes against VP since he came back. The real key is that Solo has had ppd's number when it comes to warding. That plus being better at rotating has been the difference. Though that Razor pick wasn't great. Razor just doesn't do anything in the mid-game and beyond.

pasha-taunt saved so many times!

both game was winnable imo. VP was just better

Yeah, calls feel just 0.3 second too long, every hero survives for like a second too long (either fully surviving because of it or forcing a trade), and it literally happens every time.
God, I hate watching this matchup so much. Mostly because seeing VP get slammed down is so satisfying because they're cocky to all hell.

It does make for some good Dota, but I do wish ppd would approach VP more direct power rather than finesse heroes. Plus, VP is always going to rotate at least 2 over to gank a lane that their losing, and ppd's team just isn't ready for it. Solo burnt so many wards in the early going precisely so NiP couldn't get a snowball going.

Wait what? NIP - TNC? I thought the other game, where the teams had a little relaxingtime are playing!?

It gets even better since the winner of LGD vs EG has to play two in a row tomorrow as well. Really cant wrap my head around this scheduling from PGL

iirc the teams prefer it this way instead of there being 1 series in between, but dunno

That's what the panel said too. It was done by the teams' requests.

In that case I guess it's fine if the players themselves agreed to it

12/21 for the OD! Nice denies!
|
The much harder pos 1 Carry approach in this meta really opens up the pos 2 Mid choices, since they really don't need to carry.

Spectre, oh shitty early game, needs strong supports => weaver and NP. I'm so confused.

NP getting first blood really helped, but the NP + Spectre were able to lane pretty well. Main thing was I think Arc Warden was going to need to go mid, so it made the side lanes a lot weaker. Plus, the best way to go against Arc Warden with multiple of him? Well, Aghs Weaver works for that as well.

can VP disband so I can stop watching PPD lose to them?
