Liquid thought they had MVP's pace figured out but still got manhandled in game 1. This broke their confidence.

In game 2, even off of the early game lead with FATA's lane dominance, Liquid played INCREDIBLY scared. Even two raxes up, MVP seemed like they could bust the game open any moment.

The problem was, Liquid went half retard. Either they commit fully to not fighting, two raxes up, or commit to brawling. They got into a couple slugfests with MVP team fight gods and got mechanically waxed.

MVP has too much poise, they can get you back even if they go down mega creeps as they showed in the Mineski series.

MVP doesn't play scared even when they're down Megas with no buybacks.

Just absurd mental fortitude.

Waga... they looked like Shit in the group stage except against EG.

Congrats to MVP, but, seriously, Waga, watch the games!
I was abou to type that. Lost to LGD 2-0, and went life and death vs Mineski they could just as easily lost.

No, they *really* should have lost game 3 against Mineski. Though MVP got gifted a high ground defense like they did here. If Liquid doesn't clump up against AA, Slardar & Axe, we're onto Game 3 right now.
Yeah pretty much, and they started to play right into MVP, when they had the tools to spread them all over the map.

I mean Liquid just need to channel their inner Alliance and rat MVP to death with 2 rax advantage

Because it wasn't just this game 2. MVP took game 1 in a stomp like fashion with a completely different draft.

U srs? MVP is a good team who runs hot and cold and took advantage of some serious liquid mistakes beautifully, don't know why you think this makes liquid a bad team...

Liquid tier 2

ROFL

"looks like a tier 2 team =/= "is a tier 2 team"

TL needed some major deficiencies in their play for that comeback to be possible. They can bounce back for sure, but not with the quality of their play this series.

It's different Dota style. Though Liquid will definitely win more tournaments but MVP will win more games like this and make everyone goes crazy and wonder why they weren't TI champions.

MVP with the amazing late game decisions managing to come back from 2 raxs against the favorite of the tournament.
And to think that they lost 2-0 to LGD including a game where they were ahead by 2 raxs. LGD are scary.
EG's group stage performance probably is justified. Might not be as bad as we think.

Yeah, just played unusually incohesive the more cohesive MVP got. It is kind of mindnumbing considering how predictable and one-dimensional MVP are. They literally do the same thing over and over. Their style is begging to be punished.

Bulldog would not lose a game up 2 raxes like that though I think, I didn't like MC's items either

not why they lost only a part of it but still.

If MVP can keep playing like this, they'll be hard to beat. I need to get me a replay of some of those fights. Their coordination was nuts, and thr number of times they survive with a sliver of health is awe inspiring.

All the farm that went to kuro should have been on matumba. They both played badly and the whole team got 2-3 man call crushed so many times
