I also liked how they came together to defend in game 1 against VG (even though it got them wiped - they need to do it against better teams). I thought Artour played fairly well in the veno game, too. Kept farm up and made a lot of space but nobody could recover their farm and the bounty just dumpstered them. Like 5 crow kills, one in particular that kept his mjol out for a major fight that could have swung the game.

I can't say much about that game because I was having problems watching it on event vods, so I only watched the highlights video. I like the drafting, I think it's solid and gives them a chance to win every game. I think what's great so far is they've either lost the laning phase, or came out even, and still pushed each game to 40 mins. Promising. Let's break the 0-7 losing streak in 2 days !

Tbh the drafting was likely the root problem of that game as the last pick DK did nothing but gaurentee razor a good matchup, sumail struggled to be relevant which is not where u want ur dk And they didn’t ban BH

Hoping can get a win or 2 in lower bracket and make a little run, get some confidence. Sumail in mid so much better. Rtc actually doesn't get sacked now and they just sack S4. However cr1t looking monsterous lol, actually awesome watching him.

EG won. This is great. The way did is too in some ways. A symphony of errors. However with a laning phase this strong I feel that the course the game took showed some interesting inconsistencies in itemization and game flow as well as some oversight that really shouldn't occur at their level of play. Lets disregard crit fly and s4 for the moment. They're on point. Issue one: RTZ you have the mechanically most gifted player in dota in my opinion. He's not a tactical genius in the same way that miracle and sumail are. He's simply incredibly quick and incredibly consistent at making use of timing windows, identifying them. The efficiency I feel can be a blessing and a curse. He is not very flexible. The troll itemisation I found quite interesting post game. They had a 5 k lead post leaning, and transitiioning his lane into a yasha-> sandy-> blink/skadi build I think would have been way more consistent with the game flow. The yasha accelerates before the battle fury and perhaps if they(he?), were more confident they just deservedly stomp spirit and their racs into the ground in 30 minutes. Tough call in an elmination match though. Building agi vs shadow demon severely hurts your late game, your farm speed in regards to neutrals falls off and one wipe perhaps puts them in a losing position due to their main carry being compromised. I would like to see the draft more tailored around him, so that he can soak farm and have a freer game. Then again the raft in game 3 was incredibly difficult to maneuver for both sides with essentially EG likely to be at a disadvantage if they initiate an Team spirit needing to find very strong calls in order to justify forfeiting their counter initiation if they want to be proactive. Slightly veered off track there. Perhaps this glass canon blink build was the way but I do think that he shouldn't be afraid to fight. His team is all there and a troll riding on the crest of a 5k net worth advantage wave, blinking in your face with range and yasha when your luna has dragon lance mask of madness is simply frightening. The bkb will come from tower gold. Second Sumail: Lovely play, as usual. However the aeon disc almost threw the game in my opinion, and really its simply a matter of doing your homework. The idea is great, the Lesh gets in on the front lines, and is no longer a viable target for initiation; if demonic purge wouldn't just nullify the entire investment of the item, that is. Okay you get some stats.... Imagine a linkens instead: with the exception of battle hunger all spells blocked are relevant.. Further, once shadow demon gets extra charges on the purge its no longer even creating space for the troll, you've simply wasted and item slot and a bunch of gold due to not being aware of some of the games item/spell dynamics. Cant really be bothered with a coherent essay of analysis but in short i believe that EG won that game after reaching a winning position early then handicapping themselves to near death, and somehow pulling it back, in a wild, desperate, frenzied bloodbath of a match; no better way to instill in them the thirst for more. From here on its just work, the magic is back. Their blades still rusty from humiliations past, strike out again, and as they shatter from the shards, are born new swords; Their brown is silent set beneath a glistening coat of red, And in this final dawn's exhausted hue, will in the iris, green, of their next foe be drowned, and from it wrench a beating heart a heart that bleeds but blue

But they won't have much practice in official matches before TI. Lets be honest here - Spirit threw that game, they had the better lategame, and got RTZ and Sumail dead for 100 secs. Then they threw. Almost any other team would've secured the win right there - Blind hitting the t4 towers was the only wrong play. However, that series was a light in the end of the tunnel, lets hope it is not from the incoming train.

The troll itemisation I found quite interesting post game. They had a 5 k lead post leaning, and transitioning his lane into a yasha-> sandy-> blink/skadi build I think would have been way more consistent with the game flow. He needs BKB to deal with the kiting in my opinion he was already getting kited heavily with BKB can you imagine how bad it would of been without it. What I don't agree with however is RTZ going battlefury every game. As some of the analysts pointed out mom or even SandY into BKB could of been better for fighting. There were some good points though that came out of game three. It was really good to see Sumail and RTZ playing dota and not their heroes. This is what they need to do if they want to win big tournaments, yeah Sumail kinda went in balls deep sometimes and getting destroyed but there were good moments of unselfish play which was good to see.
