I think the biggest problem for EG getting 2nd is, unless they do very well in Katowice, they just lost their auto-invite Yeah the point was more, Cr1t, Misery and Rtc are waking up say 10am there time, playing dota solo, not talking about the upcoming game and then joining discord/teamspeak around 3/4 hours later to practice/talk about the game with Sumail/Fear etc. If they are in the same house like they should be if they respected the qualifier a bit more then when they all wake up at 10am they are talking from minute one about the upcoming game and what not. It is just a different mentality, plus Misery in the Sven game had connection issues too. I just thought it was a bit "selfish" from the players perspective to really want a what has been 2 weeks break since the last tournament even though they have a brand new roster lol. I couldnt agree more... We dont know every reason for all theier desitions, but its strange taking a "break" right after making a new roster. They should be in a team house for atleast a couple of months. When they all understand eachother, strategies, hero pools and the way they want to play dota., that is when you can take a break.

I do agree they would fare better bootcamping together.

New tournament, new day.
I like EG's chances IF they can win the BO1 against LGD. I like EG's chances against Secret the most (out of Liquid, Secret, Newbee) since captain's draft. Call it what you will but EG pushed Secret to the edge in that series and EG has only been better (last 5 days excluding).
However, BO1s can be messy like the last ESL where EG lost to Navi

I'd like for them to occasionally do some classic strats like Io-Tiny or a Drow lineup, just to keep opponents on their toes.
I hope they do well. Bleed Blue!

I do agree they would fare better bootcamping together. I am not attacking there mentality Rtc for sure is a winner mentally he lives and breathes the game, im just saying in a team house you wake up, talk to eachother from minute one, when you are not all together you only talk to eachother when you go on teamspeak which might not be until 1 hour before the series start. Just thinking they made a huge oversight in the qualifiers due to wanting to go back home and not sacrifice a bit. Like Atoissen reiterated, they are a new team they should be bootcamping and getting used to eachother alot, bulba and misery should be inseparable talking about drafts and playstyle so they are on the same page etc. Just my rant because of the way they lost to COL xD
As said, new day new tournament! I agree with Poulsen there actually, try and IO Tiny offlane, with Fear on a pusher or something that could be good for us to use our triple core line up with Sumail, or Rtc can play that too.
Yeah if EG can get past this bo1 with LGD they could be in a good position to try and make it to the knock out rounds, i want us to get points so badly! Going to be hard though, today is a big day. Chelsea vs Barca this evening too and EG vs LGD in Dota, #BLEEDBLUE!

Now I'm not watching every pro game happening but it's been ages since I last saw a Drow game, let alone one where Drow won. Is that even still a thing?

Looks more like EG day 1 for me. They still need time and are being a bit cocky (qualifiers lul) tomorrow they are gonna be rested and more sober. Lets wait.

Yeah they lost a bo1 due to a bad draft to LGD only thing im blaming for that loss is the idiot tournament. I mean look at Newbee losing to Kinguin.
|
Still funny to see sumail cancel his epi accidentally at the end when they were defending bot. Not that they would have held. But withoiut epi it wsnt a 5% chance but 0%

What about Fear losing his lane 1v1? It was already lost by the time that 6 min gank came around and they took the mid T1.

Just look at today's drafts compared to yesterday. Minus game 2 draft which was a bit wonky too picking Chen last into a Gyro already and in the end vs TA too.
|
Draft wasn't bad. LGD capitalized on winning a lane that should've went even. Also, EG brought numbers top in a defense and lost (Arteezy's rotation). Not draft.
|
Good games and drafts today from the bois, and the KotL curse was finally broken haha Next up is one of the Chinese teams, if EG play it right they should win this I feel, especially with newbee not looking that hot this tournament.

Hope so, going to be tough, hopefully they do alot of studying so maybe they can find some draft weakness' to exploit like i think they did with Kinguin today.

I'm worried about Sccc vs Fear and Fear getting dominated middle.
Good news is Newbee looked very beatable today vs LGD.

Today we you can see if they are worth their salt.

They still have the option to send Sumail or rtz mid I suppose.
Or do it like Liquid and just give Fear some easy ass hero like Matu. No one can screw up a viper mid
