One hell of a recovery by Arteezy, he was losing that lane like 12 cs to voids 35 cs at one point.

Im sure if you ask them to replace winning a couple of Majors for a TI you know what there reply would be. Yeah, just some of those insignificant major thingies. Pretty much like winning a coloring book at the ring toss at the local fun fair and totally not 4 out of 5 of the second highest price pool having tournaments with the hardest competition in the world at the time of each tournament. OG failed by their standards at TI, that doesn't change the fact that they were one of, if not the most dominant team(s) over a period of close to two (Dota) years. Comparing Optic with that just just plain ridiculous.

When you don't have the luxury of getting invites you are going to have to lan every qualifier, they still would had a week or so off, but now they are without a major and will have to try and get into other moniors on points missed out., On February 17 2018 19:36 nothingmuch wrote: Yeah, just some of those insignificant major thingies. Arsenal won a couple of FA cups lately, pretty sure they would rather win the champions league or premier league title right? Pretty sure winning the NFC/AFC championship is nothing if you don't win the super bowl?

Pretty sure winning the NFC/AFC championship is nothing if you don't win the super bowl? I have no idea what those are, but I'm pretty sure whatever they are they're hardly analogous to the Dota tournament circuit. At the majors the same teams are competing that are at TI. So while TI is a lot more lucrative and prestigious (which is why every player prefers to win TI, duh) in terms of achievement OGs major run is humongous, unprecedented and unlikely to ever be repeated. Feel free to check back, they were among the favorites each TI, which is why their disappointing results were such an upset. When it comes to price money OG clocks in at over 6 million. Optic isn't even in the same solar system as that. So no, not every team that also hasn't won TI is comparable (in the sense that they're alike) to OG, because they haven't won TI either.

Might sound like nothing, but more often then not, these hints end up hinting at some big drama. His steam account apparently now is "BulbaStandinForme". Credit goes to reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/7y5g6i/eg_drama_possibly_incoming/ I don't get why people are calling sumail best player in the world. Historically based on total amount of achievements it's probably Puppey, in terms of total pricepool won it's Kuroky, currently best individually skilled player I would say probably Miracle or GH. During TI5, you definitely had a case for Sumail being the most individually skilled player and I would agree with you. But that was almost 3 years ago, so much changed since then.

A 15y old has practically no chance to not develop some serious ego issues. An entire community celebrating you? Grown ups doing your homework so you can play video games? Money/Girls raining down on you? It's like all the "child stars" in the music/movie business- there's just no way you come through that unscathed. Concerning your question, a lot of the hype comes either from himself (see above), people stuck in the past, or people talking about the ever popular "potential" which strictly speaking means nothing at all. People dream up some magical skill level that a player could be at but for reason X is not. And then they pretend like reason X doesn't exist/matter or will go away on it's own. Only recently people have begone talking more about players "fitting" with a team instead of being the "better player". When it comes to team chemistry/ behavior I find someone like GH way, way superior to someone like Sumail. It seems like you could put that guy in literally any team (and it would work) because of his character/attitude. Much better "package" in my view.

Right now they need to get back to grinding, back to scrimming and back to playing in the same room and talking through strats. I mean how can bulba coach via teamspeak xD very stupid if you ask me and very "lacklustre"

I think the biggest problem for EG getting 2nd is, unless they do very well in Katowice, they just lost their auto-invite

Think Sumail has the skills to be one of the top 3 players in the world, but needs much higher bottom level performance. I saw game 1 & 2. Think Sumail was so awful game 1 not because of enemy ganks but just getting killed by his own decision, then in game 2 he played the best Beastmaster I have seen was sublim. Think he plays to much on mood and motivation and emotions, simply not stabil enough. EG performance is in correlation with how Samail does, and that is there problem.

I think the biggest problem for EG getting 2nd is, unless they do very well in Katowice, they just lost their auto-invite Yeah the point was more, Cr1t, Misery and Rtc are waking up say 10am there time, playing dota solo, not talking about the upcoming game and then joining discord/teamspeak around 3/4 hours later to practice/talk about the game with Sumail/Fear etc. If they are in the same house like they should be if they respected the qualifier a bit more then when they all wake up at 10am they are talking from minute one about the upcoming game and what not. It is just a different mentality, plus Misery in the Sven game had connection issues too. I just thought it was a bit "selfish" from the players perspective to really want a what has been 2 weeks break since the last tournament even though they have a brand new roster lol.
