Not to take away from them making top 3, but you're right when you say they haven't been too impressive. As Andy said they basically got the easiest teams in this bracket aside from maybe Optic. Feel like VGJS and EG also had uncharacteristically bad games against them as well, but who knows tbh maybe it's just the way OG play lol. | ||

I never expected OG to reach top3, I thought top8 was their upper limit, but they are playing like they're possessed right now, so I'm obviously happy. Winning against EG is the cherry on top of the cake, but its not over yet, I think EG is good enough to get trough the lower bracket and beat anyone if they find another high together. These weren't clean games, they were emotional and sloppy at times, but why does this diminish the accomplishments of any team? But I think everyone in this tournament who got to this point, got there on their own merit. Everybody on both sides of the bracket deserved to be there, there is no "easy side". As much as I dislike Sumail or RTZ, I accept that they are really good at this game. Same for VGJ.S, LGD, Liquid etc. What annoys me the most is that its the same shit people said about NaVi when they played in three TI grand finals in a row. People always shat on them and esp. Xboct for not deserving their high placements. I don't remember the stuff people said about DCs run at TI6 but I remember people say the same shit about Ad Finem at Boston (althought single elim bracket...). Putting this in contrast to Wings who won a TI and some change but never placed really high besides that. Why do they get praised to this day while other teams who achieve similar things get shat on? I feel like at least at TI the whole community could band together and be a little more wholesome. | ||
