If everything goes well I'll have to make a paper out of it. That sounds great actually! Where will the conference be, and which?! Best of success for that. Though wirting a paper can be super tough. It's like 20% learning by doing and 80% good feedback from colleagues I think.

And the paper thing will be 100% learning by doing. I am not the only author and I won't stress myself too much about it. And since I wrote my bachelors thesis about exactly this, half of the work will be just translating from german to english.

Either because every developer borrowed from the Rockstar formula or there's now a universally agreed upon idea of what an open world game needs, they all look and play the same.

Lol we'll just reflect the sun with a giant space mirror. If we exploit fossil fuel now and invest the profit we can easily pay for research and development as well as deployment of the actual thing. BAM climate change solved. That should qualify me for a presidential election nomination in the US.

Not to mention the generic buzzwords of "a living, breathing world" and "a deep combat system" voice overs while we don't get a good impression of either. I will give it some props for details like carrying weapons on your horse and a dialogue system that doesn't need to take you away from the game into another text menu. Either because every developer borrowed from the Rockstar formula or there's now a universally agreed upon idea of what an open world game needs, they all look and play the same. there's a certain nintendo game that broke some open world conventions
