It's open, or it isn't where I live. I just read on reddit you don't have those across the great water and I can't believe it. We've had them for decades and they're awesome We really don't. I feel like you guys visiting Canada must feel like you've gone back in time or something. Yeah, we don’t have those in my part of the US either. I’m sure there is a reason they have no become popular, likely having to do with snow or something.

I'd wager that they a) cost too much b) insulate too well for American style houses.
If the ususal rural house price is 100k who will pay extra $20k for decent windows. And if you have a simple wall with next to no insulation, the water vapor on the inside will condense on your walls, promoting mould, instead of the windows, because they don't get cold enough. Windows (almost) always have to be the coldest spot on the walls to prevent mould.

The US and Canada have a very different way of building homes from EU, so I guess the difference in windows makes sense once you think about it.
Btw, usually our windows can also be set to "micro-ventilation" mode by turning the handle diagonally. The window stays closed but isn't pressed firmly against the frame, allowing for some air circulation.

Bold prediction: Exotic_Deer will be the big break-out player of next season. I think the guy's legit, he's gonna follow a similar path as Ace.

+ Show Spoiler +that might be slightly more aggressive than strictly necessary, but idk i can't remember the last good 1 player that really defined a team

Of course no single player can define a tier 1 team. Nowadays you need 5 exceptional players to have a tier 1 team. I'm just saying that I think exotic deer has what it takes to be one of the 5 players on a future tier 1 team.

Isn't that like the base model too? The top end ones go up to $3000-$3500 or something.

why are people still buying shitty apple devices

And tech product websites are a special type of nightmare no real person wants to deal with.

also I forgot to mention I'm in SF this weekend but it's literally just to fly out, recruit nerds, and fly back (I have an intern so I don't want to take time off ((( )
I've decided that theres still a little more weight I'm gonna lose before I get something like a leather jacket where I want to take measurements. Got burned pretty hard with my suit last year lol. And im like so close to feeling good in skinny jeans so
i bought some nice pants and had to go get my unis brought in like 5 inches
I'm about to go have all of my t-shirts tailored to bring them up a little cause they're too long xd
I have a 15 inch fully specced 2015 retina macbook pro that I love and im so mad that the touchbar and keyboard on the new ones blow because I want to upgrade

I mean Macbooks are fine if you have the money to blow and don't give a shit that they are COMPLETELY overpriced. The hardware is still well made compared to most laptops. Also everyone knows pretty much every major tech company gives out Macbooks these days to their employees
I'd be happy to use one if I got it for free is basically what I'm saying.

I've used them for ages but I bought the one I use now from my last company for like half price

I'm satisfied with my mid-2015 MBP, though it did set me back a pretty penny. It runs well and is well-designed. I wasn't so much for Apple products before, but if I ever need another laptop I'd consider another Macbook. Just that I need to start a new savings account for one, or pick the 13" ones to not fall into poverty. Shame that I hear only negative things about the new Macbooks, but I did luck out with a good generation I guess.
