Your story reminds me of those parents who fed their kids well done steaks that turn into leather, boiled vegetables to the point of mush, and canned fruit rather than fresh fruit that shapes their perception of food for life. Good to see you broke out of it at least.

The only time where rank X NA doesn't equal rank Y EU is probably once you get up to around top 100 or top 50

The only time where rank X NA doesn't equal rank Y EU is probably once you get up to around top 100 or top 50 well in terms of actual discussion, idk if what i said still holds true cos that was about a month ago but im assuming EU = more players = more mmr to be given/taken in the system and i have a buddy who was playing with rank 900-1k NA at 5.7k while rank 3.9k EU. that said, the only actual metric i have atm for MMR to rank is my rank 1941 friend who's just a little over 6k cos he's the person i know who most recently hit and has been hovering above 6k but im assuming that 6k is around rank 700 NA at this point. i also think it's perfectly fair to say that top 200 NA is more or less interchangeable with top 200 EU atm again, this is mostly bored speculation (studying is giving me stress-induced headaches) based on what i do know and i could always be wrong

Note: what I'm saying is basically agreeing with you 2008, just trying to throw in some other points.

Just like the bottom 50% are as bad as the bottom 50% anywhere else. How that applies to the actual numbers or MMR I can't say. But if the top 2k for EU starts at 7k and top 1k for NA starts at 5k I think it'd be safe to say that EU is inflated. I'd imagine you can just scale the percentiles for regions to compare.
