Tunnnaaaaa hi
i am going on lots of dates and it is tiring! I am trying to be a casual guy but I'm not normally a casual guy! Being casual is harder when you don't drink!

Dota died off so hard on my friends list. Used to be at least ~10 people in-game at almost any hour and then more at peak EU and USE hours before 7.00. Now it's whoever is in my party which is like impossible to get 5 for and a token teddy.

my wardrobe is mostly abercrombie now they got a lot better after changing ownership or w/e
also some muji
i usually wait for big sales then buy a bunch at once tho

Buy some staples from uniqlo or American eagle. They make some excellent stretch jeans. I would buy some stuff from jcrew when it’s 40% off and you can also use a student discount if you still have your id. Nowadays I wear wolf vs goat. Quality to price point is very nice and the sweatpants are comparable to some reigning champ/John Elliott stuff.

I had/have really bad anxiety and depression. Medication can help, but stay the fuck away from benzos. (They only have a positive effect on anxiety for roughly a month, and detoxing from them is awful. They can also literally kill you if you go off them cold turkey. Short term solution at best).
Depression and Anxiety have a co-existing relationship. Neither of them exactly causes the other, but they almost always come together. Some research indicates that most depression is preceded by a stomach illness.
It took me like 7-8 years to find an anti-depressant that worked well for me (they're getting better than they used to be, though. Lexapro has far fewer side effects for me than most of the earlier ones I tried). I've had seratonin syndrome, which is pretty much the worst thing you can get from Anti-Depressants and I have to say... it was awful, but not as bad as I thought it'd be. (Long story short here : stay away from alternative medicine treatments for depression, even if a pharmacist you're related to recommends one).
Most people get the best results from CBT therapy for anxiety and medication for depression. CBT felt too much like homework for me, and I needed some initial medicine after going through xanax withdrawal, but basically the less medicine you use the better.
As far as illicit drugs go - hallucinogenics show the most promise. Specifically salvia is effective as a long-term cure with no side effects for about 25% of people, and recent results show that shrooms could have a similar effect. I've used both of these, and while Salvia worked for roughly a month after each use for me for several years, it was much less effective when my life was actively shitty.
To make things harder for me at least, I have a particular type of depression which made it so that I just thought being actively miserable was the norm from like age 9 on, so before going on anti-depressants I legitimately had no idea being miserable wasn't the norm for most people.
Note : when my anxiety wasn't well treated I would fixate on people, but I was well aware of it, and generally speaking was able to ignore it mentally/logically but not emotionally. Untreated anxiety can make breakups much worse - I was better off out of many relationships I was in, but my anxiety wouldn't let me realize that (not saying that is the case, of course)

Yeah, I was prescribed lexapro actually. I've never really been in a situation where I dangerously "NEEDED" antidepressants, but its been just the situation where it seems silly i've never tried it, given that i've dealt with depression most of my life and not been very successful at fighting it (which I think caused me to lose my last girlfriend. On one side of losing her, I don't think I'd have been as proactive about pushing myself the way I am now, but...I still love her and want to be with her. So yeah, really hard but going to make the best of it I can.) But I guess I haven't been as depressed as I've been post breakup, never really had the actual urge to hurt myself as much post breakup, so that kinda pushed me to the "yeah I need some help this time".
I'm unsure if this is a long term thing for me or not, but I'm just going to see the path it takes me down and go from there. Still on half doses though as I literally *just* started taking it.
