My smurf is no longer a smurf because of that after ~100 games, I used it to play with mid to high mmr and we ended up improving to a higher mmr in ~100 games.
btw, valve has said that after only 10 games, you can get a new account to the "very high" mmr level

the thing i hate the most is playing a stack that is larger than 2 in a pub game... it is hard to not try hard and even if you try hard, often in time it will be out of coordination and fail miserably. this is also why i never watch most NA streamers, they stack too much and thought all their pub stomp is indicating how skill they are :-/
edit: the matter of fact is, if you cant handle a few lose in pubs while solo queuing, the chance is that you have yet play enough dota for a higher match making queue anyway. anyone who experienced in the scene should have played pub a massive ton since dota1 day to accumulate the gaming experience. Notice that if you start out in HoN/LoL/dota2, you are still missing out at least 3-4 years of experience compare to veteran dota1 pros so demanding high level mmr isnt a bit too much?

given up on solo matchmaking again xx Pretty stereotypical game, someone picks Shadow Fiend and says mid straight away, so you pick Leshrac to support top. Stack and pull woods including big camp using a tango. Destroy Chaos Knight with Edict and Stun then Mirana last hits so gets first blood. Destroy Chaos Knight again then invoker sunstrike kills him... (at least he was helping) Bla bla bla gets into mid game where their Faceless void and Storm Spirit are fairly farmed while your shadow fiend is 1-8-0 You start having team fights, you run in stun and put edict up, get 4s stunned by Chaos Knight and killed in a second while your team of Mirana Weaver and Invoker run away in invis. Game takes 35 minutes to end despite being 45-11.
Obviously if i was a professional player i would ease through the matchmaking but come on even DENDI would struggle to win a game with Leshrac support top where your team pick 3 weak invis heroes and run away. Without demanding mid every game (50% of games someone else demands mid and ruins it for you or you ruin it for them) it's too difficult to win consistently. I'm not saying i can't win 60% of games over 50 games or something, i definitely can, it's just not fun at all, 50 games is like 30-40 hours!!!
There's no practical solution to the matchmaking problem really it's just unfortunate ;p

can some mod explain why the team change prediction thread was closed?

OP was low effort and discussion there went really close to a LoL vs Dota (again -.-) also it was all speculation, not really best thing to discuss

There are 3 heroes in the top 5 with only 1 game. So, Morphling is actually 3rd.

I think it was mostly because of the mostly speculative matter of discussion it was closed, it was leading nowhere

I think this post would be more appropriate in the DotA QQ thread we already have up

I dont agree with the close of the thread, i created it to read DOTA 2 fans opinion on the outcome of the TI2, and the posts were being good with people discussing about how Dota2 will influence players in Korea, they talked about the current player statements like HyHy and Maelk... how is that low effort? If a thread like this is leading nowhere, is the "Why all these dendi/navi fanboys?" going somewhere?
I could understand the close of it if a LoL vs D2 war was about to begin but it was like 5 posts and it was a discussion between the 2 of them, not a flame war. But its ok, if they think that thread had no meaning of existence then its ok. Not going to rant about it.

You don't just ask for opinions on a matter. You need to introduce the matter and give your own opinion together with facts(preferably with sources) that it's based on. What you did there was low effort

Has anyone else found that their games aren't being recorded in their latest games? For a few days now my games have been appearing on dota-buff but don't show in the in fame client.

Quoting before you edit for in fame Overall the servers were a bit wonky lately I feel, maybe they assigned the servers that handle such requests normally to bolster up spectating ones for TI. I haven't played a lot but heard others complain too

I checked the thread out. What i thought:
1.OP is lacking content which leads to Point2 plus Naz was the one who closed it 2.TL is covering Dota2 now so naturally you want a good discussion thread on anything related to the pro scene.
Players leaving/disbanding, big matter, and this is progaming forum. I think the topic is interesting but just the OP is very much lacking content, this is not Playdota you need to keep in mind. Or,
3.TL is writing an article about that so an effort lacking discussion thread get closed lol
