ok the qual predictions section is rather biased, why do we only get to do that for europe qual lol
at first i thought it is for all regions and then I read this:
Make sure to take note of whether a prediction is for a single game, or across the entire Europe Qualifier. There will be between 54 and 59 games in the Qualifier.
I was confused and then i went back to read the first page:
Predictions are more fun when you've got some data to work with, so we're giving you the first three Qualifier regions to analyse before you make these predictions for Europe. You'll earn Compendium Points for every correct prediction you make.
wtf valve???

oh ya we get one every level we advanced. nice.

Exactly. The money made from selling the immortals can buy more levels -> more immortals -> more money
It's a cycle!
Though with this many people getting them, they probably won't be worth anything

Is anyone else getting stupid lag right now?

In a lot of cases, those 4 are all teamfight heroes, and the teamcomp is still playing a teamfight game where the AM/Morph come back to every fight to clean up kills.
The team as a whole isn't playing a map control/splitpush game, it's just that AM/Morph are splitpushing because that's what those heroes do. If you're running something like BM+Mag+Rubick+Earthshaker as your other 4, that's 100% a teamfight comp. You're not playing rat dota just because you have an AM as your carry.

I've literally been sitting watching a match with a friend, and going, "oh, its tiny time now." And watching Tiny just win a game out of nowhere because he kills t3s in like 4 hits with aghs, and raxes just as fast. Tiny is incredibly punishing of a single mid/late mistake, in ways other carries just aren't, even other push heavy carries like Lycan. Do not underestimate this hero. A lot of his competition has taken nerfs, and he's incredible against other melee carries in particular because of craggy. Particularly strong against Ursa who has been prominent this patch. And finally his 'illusions being strong', has never stopped a carry from being prominent in Dota. Ever. Antimage's illusions hurt. Morphling's illusions hurt. Terrorblade's illusions hurt. Luna's illusions hurt like hell, PL's illusions create armies, spectre's illusions kill everything, Naga illusions are tanky as fuck and usually have a radiance attached. The argument that the other team could make an illusion of your carry is pretty much irrelevant, like it almost doesn't matter what carry you pick, most of them are gonna have REALLY strong illusions just due to how agi carries build and the items they tend to buy, particularly butterfly. Tiny is going to be the dominant carry, there's very little to contest him right now, and he's crazy strong in the dual mid meta that's developing. no one is doubting the strengths of tiny, your just over exaggerating everything about him he doesn't 4 hit towers with just aghs and saying he punishes mid/late game mistakes isn't saying anything because you provide no context on what type or magnitude of mistake you mean. "Lycan is incredibly punishing of a single mid/late game mistake because he just runs your towers down" see how blanket statements work, you write a whole lot of stuff but say a whole lot of nothing
Tiny is a big creep that hits hard.He needs wisp,he needs to farm up a aghs,he needs to farm stacked camps with aghs.He isn't self sufficient,he can be forced into a bkb that he doesn't want to buy usually,he has a really hard time dealing with early push lineups and stuff that force early teamfights in general(not small skirmishes, straight up 5v5s). His farm is easier to disrupt than a lot of other carrys and even if he does get big he isn't a auto win like lycan, alchemist and lifesteler were for instance, who were the insta 1st pick ban material you are classifying tiny as. Tiny getting countered by his illusions is very different than antimage, morph,PL,naga, specter. The other heroes are all agility based tiny isn't,tiny always builds AC,so it can get turned around against you.Tiny also can't blink like morph and am so he can get stuck there in a ds wall getting hit by his stuff more frequently than the other heroes. I'm not shitting on tiny but you make it sound like he's the lord of carry mountain when he really isn't,his weaknesses are well known and exploitable. Also I don't know where you get the idea that tiny/wisp mid is so strong,it's really good on radiant side, apart from that its good but nothing spectacular.

Someone should do: Omni + Bane support duo, with AM farming.
In fights Bane just grips the opponents hero with the most mana, omni casts purification on bane, so it cant be interrupted, and then am does the big ulti for ravages gggg

Same with witchdoctor ultimates in early teamfights (pre bkb era)

Is it weird, that I've spent 20€ just to increase the prizepool (including the compendium), despite knowing I won't be playing any DotA until 28th of August?
|
No, it's not about you. It's about us, the community, and o' powerful Gabe...
Also I will say one thing about this Compendium, today is the first day in probably 2-3 months that i've played more than one game a day (and i've played maybe 5 in the last month, yet I watch Dota/mess around in private lobbies almost every day). Got that 8 win streak yeahhhh.
