He's a good hero right now but tiny without wisp is still pretty questionable and it's hard not to telegraph a tiny wisp draft,so teams can never really get caught off guard by it and are always able to pick something against it.

I expect to see him first banned/picked a lot. And here's the reason Tiny punishes mistakes incredibly hard right now, while also carrying really goddamn hard, a single mistake against a level 16 tiny with aghs basically guarantees a raxing due to his damage output. Also, i'm waiting for troll to come back. And then we get to see the glory of tiny/troll

AM is fine in the right situations (as he has always been), we had two AM games a week ago where in both games the AM didn't die once. LGD vs HGT (Xiaotuji, 9/0/3) and VG vs DT (Sylar, 16/0/4).

Something like... push > team fight > ganking > push... perhaps? Of course, Dota is immensely complex and everything is situational, but some kind of guideline should exist.

I seriously think he's a viable pick against stuff like shadow shaman and qop because they expend so much mana that AMs ult will deal crazy damage in an AOE with a level 11 ult. Maybe teams need to build him as a bit more of an early game fighter instead of rushing bfury, idk. The AOE is just so stupidly big now. 500 fucking AOE. I hope he makes a return for TI4 ![]()

I've literally been sitting watching a match with a friend, and going, "oh, its tiny time now." And watching Tiny just win a game out of nowhere because he kills t3s in like 4 hits with aghs, and raxes just as fast. Tiny is incredibly punishing of a single mid/late mistake, in ways other carries just aren't, even other push heavy carries like Lycan. Do not underestimate this hero. A lot of his competition has taken nerfs, and he's incredible against other melee carries in particular because of craggy. Particularly strong against Ursa who has been prominent this patch. And finally his 'illusions being strong', has never stopped a carry from being prominent in Dota. Ever. Antimage's illusions hurt. Morphling's illusions hurt. Terrorblade's illusions hurt. Luna's illusions hurt like hell, PL's illusions create armies, spectre's illusions kill everything, Naga illusions are tanky as fuck and usually have a radiance attached. The argument that the other team could make an illusion of your carry is pretty much irrelevant, like it almost doesn't matter what carry you pick, most of them are gonna have REALLY strong illusions just due to how agi carries build and the items they tend to buy, particularly butterfly. Tiny is going to be the dominant carry, there's very little to contest him right now, and he's crazy strong in the dual mid meta that's developing.

In general doing well in the laning stage and taking the right trades when it comes to towers and farming seems more important.

If Tiny without Wisp becomes stable, then picking Tiny is going to create a lot of draft pressure because it will force Wisp bans/picks at awkward times in order to deny them. Conversely, if Tiny can't get away from being tethered to Wisp, he's going to have a hard time breaking out from pick 3/4 to pick 1/2.

I feel like the cycle is more rat>teamfight>gank>rat, where 4p1 is (usually) a specialised kind of rat and push is a specialised kind of teamfight. But idk, really.

That's not really right. 4-protects-1 has variation within other types of teamcomps. Teamfight 4-protects-1 is honestly more common than split-pushing, split-push/map control teamcomps are a lot of times better for developing multiple cores.

I feel like there is a kind of rock-paper-scissors thing somewhere in there though, whatever the definitions are.
