seems like he switched to DotA 2 with fnatic.HoN.

Doesn't Riot provide most of the prize pool for LoL tournaments though

Yeah, I was under this impression aswell (Riot spoonfeeding money to force e-sport scene? (I have minimum clue actually)). What this means is sponsors aren't afraid to throw money into D2. All for a brighter future imo.

Does anyone have experience playing dota2 on a low quality computers? I'm currently out of my good computer for the next 3-4 weeks while I wait for my motherboard to come back from repair, so I'm on the one I had prior. It was considered average for the time when I got it in '05.

Pretty shit computer other than my video card. But my friend runs a 3670 and gets a solid 30 FPS most of the time at the same resolution. Just run it low res and you should be fine bro.

If there was a pro game with normal -cm style picking, except one was limited to Sentinel and the other team to Scourge, which side do you guys think would win?

Sentinel side in DotA 2 has more of the good heroes needed for a balanced team.
Scourge lycan NS brood DS enigma/lich qop/invoker AA/lesh/SD
Sentinel BM DK AM sylla Riki CM Chen Enchantress WR Rhasta

pretty sure in dota1 its call normal mode (not AP) and you can pick heroes from respective side cavern + neutral cavern. Furion is on sentinel right?

Hmm not very complete. If you talk about heroes picked consistently in Pro games then you definitely need to include Tide, SandK, VENO. and to a lesser extent even naix.

It's pretty silly to do a definitive list of "top picks" in DotA 2, given how different play in different regions prioritizes different heroes (e.g. in China/SEA, Earthshaker is must pick/ban when he's often get ignored elsewhere).

I agree. It is always interesting to see different strats and heroes used and seeing which one comes out tops. Only applies when you remove latency issues which is why I am looking forward to the International 2.
But still, good heroes are good heroes. No one would rate a BS over an Invoker.
