Also, if you use bkb to kill the tide and he buys back with ravage up, you are still punished. It's just not fun. dmg and stun duration should be based on how far you are from tide, just like epicenter. I am not really a fan of Tide at all. He is like a one-trick-pony. He can severely punish melee that is laned against him early. But later on, it is slow and waiting for ult to come up. I dislike the range of it as well, it almost seems too large. For example, I like the idea of Sf. based on range, there is damage reduction and it allows people to react. It seems almost difficult for a tide to actually fail at using his ult with such a wide range. I do think when the tide gets blink it makes him easier to predict. Since prior to blink, the timing of when to bkb can be off. But there is much more of a chance of him using ult when he blinks. I disagree with him being a one-trick-pony. Anchor smash is an extremely powerful teamfight ability and gush is a very strong laning spell. I really think people overlook how awesome anchor smash is. 40% damage reduction on everyone hit for 6 seconds, 240 physical damage. Usable every 4 seconds....if the team doesn't focus you, you most likely have half their team doing 40% less damage. If you have the team focusing you, you are taking less damage and eating disables (which aren't being used to their full effectiveness) allowing your teammates free reign over the battlefield.

tide is hilarious if your team is doing well and you have good items. the entire team trying to focus you, and every spell lasts like .1 seconds because of the debuff while you slowly run back to your base

correct me if im wrong but if you hook an eul-ed unit shouldnt it be just pulling the unit(cyclone) toward you, not KILLING the cyclone and pull the cylone toward you???

No, what happened in Dota was the Cyclone counts as an air unit, so your hook will just go through it and return as if you hooked air. Not sure what the case is for Dota2... should be the same!

I just tested this. If you Eul a creep and hook it, it hooks the creep canceling Euls but the target takes 0 damage. Same thing for euls. But yes it hooks a Euled target.

Not sure honestly.

im pretty sure in dota1 if you hook a cyclone(from eul), it will pull the cyclone to you(change position but no dmg dealt to the cyclone). In dota2 the cyclone died before it got pulled to you (the position is still modified but the dmg is dealt to the cyclone)

its so hard to play against it, even bad players using this perfectly. It's already been nerfed

I don't remember exactly which version but right around when I was playing dota1 in high school with dorm mates was when they first made vanguard, meepo, puck, orchid, and i think AC/Vlads were new items as well, but those came much later.
It was when you could still buy aegis in level 3 shop and shit

hmm, just test out the invoker solo rosh with 2 forges and it actually works @_@...
|
Makes sense, there is enough -armor from the forges, and then you can cold snap, alacrity, icewall (wait, does icewall work?), and triple Wex for attack speed or triple Quas for survivability if you just barely don't last long enough.
What level did you do yoru test at because invoker is a pretty no brainer solo rosh hero in my eyes

haven't used EQ since I discovered the joy of QW, but I'm quite sure Forge's -armor only works on heroes.

What level did you do yoru test at because invoker is a pretty no brainer solo rosh hero in my eyes i did it around lv 10? 4 Q 4 E with tread + medalion and i didnt use any additional spells bc invoke cd + mana cost. Need to keep forge spirits spell to re summon them once they are dead. a bit slower than lycan solo rosh but do-able
