I don't even know why Dagon's is so disappointing. They could have just straight ripped the visuals/sound from Lion's ult (just like it is in DotA 1) and I think it'd be great.

Yes, that is the Chuan that plays for Zenith/iG.
The specifics are probably exaggerated to varying degrees, but the general story (used to be a Basketball star in high school, suffered a career-ending injury, ended up playing a lot of DotA and ending up in a competitive DotA career) is true.

I really second this. When playing over winter break, my friend (who is partially colorblind) brought this up. Especially if you're newer to the game and don't recognize character/creep models quickly. Hope Valve really does something about this!

I was killed 3 times by a morphling with dagon before I realised that he had gotten dagon. That's not right, even if I shouldn't have been so lazy to click on him to check his items. :D
Manta needs a better sound but I'm not sure about deso. Sure, DotA1 had an amazing deso sound but I don't think it's necessary to be in DotA2.

Yeah, there are a lot of buffs that you can't really see in dota 2, and the sounds are more or like the same than sc2 sounds compared to bw sounds, basic. And it doesn't even show auras anyway >< That apart, I really love the graphics/animations. The game is beautiful.

The main reason I hope they implement auras showing on creeps etc is because it was a big giveaway if you were farming creeps and suddenly they gained an RoB or Vlads aura.

yeah it's really not obvious on creeps, i have to manually click them once in a while
