it loads dota 2 when I click activate, so it's not a big deal. I'm just worried something strange might happen once Dota 2 releases officially. also, there is no gift to activate from my steam inventory.

There is always the steam support if you are really worried. They even have people on telephones, like back in the last century.

I was playing with a friend and after he got diffusal he went to battlefury as next item. I thought that he would be better off with reaver->hot.
after a while i saw his illu hitting creeps and i didn't think they dealt a lot of dmg. Does BF work on PL at all? If yes how good of an item is it?

cleave doesnt work with illusions. not to mention pl doesn't need cleave to hit a lot of creeps at once, he has illusions lol

In dota 1 battlefury was pretty core on PL. Gotta have those unique attack animations.

illusions don't get cleave, and everything bfury gives is worthless for illusions.
PL illus only benefit from diffusal orb, stats based items, raw HP boost, radiance effect, etc. I'm sure someone can easily list everything that illus benefit from if you really want to know.
Although it's worth noting that only one instance of radiance can affect an enemy if multiple PL illusions are around.

Did you guys also go passives build? 1 level gush, anchor smash max, then kraken shell and straight right click on enemy heros?

If you want to right click then Gush should be much more useful since it gives -armor.
