How I'd try to play that matchup: Try to score a quick bottle by abusing your very high base damage at levels 1 and 2 before he can really get the harass rolling. Once you have the bottle, try to harass him below ~400 hp by stunning the both him and the creepwave when it will net you a last-hit (or 2). Bottle crow as necessary. If he is ever in a vulnerable position with ~400 hp after you are level 3 you should be able to just kill him if you can hit a proper combo (Stun, then immediately toss him onto himself). Even just hitting both spells and some right clicks (without the full simultaneous combo) does a surprising amount of damage. Be wary though since once you blow your load you are pretty impotent until you get another rune or bottle crow. You likely won't outfarm him but if you can kill him once or even just make him run home then you are stunting him fairly well and a mid tiny can gank extremely effectively if your opponents are uncoordinated and don't have wards or call mia properly. | ||

Especially on a pre-6 storm who is very vulnerable (SF is another good one to call for ganks against). If you get a buddy to gank and you are tiny, tell him to stay out of vision and just toss him on the enemy. Then walk in and stun yourself (assuming your buddy has some useful abilities to cast while you are running in). | ||

It a shame bottle crowing has become the norm... But aye this is the right way of doing it. Boots first ain't too bad on some melee heroes or heroes that excel with mobility. Blades of attack can be nice too if you're going to be building into phase. I tend to always get a ring of basi with random gold just cause the +6 dmg, armour, and mana regen. Also allows to push the lane if the enemy ever leaves the lane. | ||
