People might want it for collection purposes (am I being cpt. Obvious Obvious right now?). like, there might be something you wouldn't spend a dime on, but for some other people might recognize the very same thing as valuable.

What the fuck. This game. Just what the fuck. So, game is hard. I pick riki because I figure we would need a diffusal carrier on our team versus warlock. Of course I get a slardar counterpick. Maybe Spectre would have been a better choice, considering what unfolds. So, as I said, game is hard. Bane is doing a good job supporting, QoP doing an excellent job mid, Rubick top is doing ok considering he is solo offlane, and prophet is... doing his thing. Well, turns out cent farms a fast dagger and the little momentum we had on our side is quickly turned back. Slardar is making sure I don't have an ultimate skill, and fights are always barely on their side. Barely. I can find absolutely no farm as prophet is ulting on cooldown, but I manage to get a diffusal blade. At this point, Sniper is somehow ultra farmed - holy, does a shadow blade + maelstrom deal damage! Gotta try that. either way, fights are hard. I pick a hero here and there or throw a smoke, but I'm too squishy to survive the AoE. And Sniper loves me too. game goes on, they take mid rax and dive us. We kill them. Game keeps going on, they take bottom tower, dives and die. Then they take our rax, and then dive us and die. "2 rax down, yeah we lost" I thought. Until I looked at the minimap and saw a green trail... on their base Then I noticed: their ancient was at 50%. Prophet simply counter pushed them for the win. I laughed hard. I dont like his play style, and he did complain a bit since I walked twice on sentries by mistake, but he did won the game on the only way we could: by counterpushing. Because winning a teamfight on this game was insanity. Posting on GD since it isnt a QQ. Have any of you found games like that, where going for a fight will certainly lose the game, so you have to rely on split pushing?

It's a valid strategy, and not uncommon at all. Pro teams often pick compositions built around split pushing when they know they cannot face their opponents in straight up teamfights.
