Sure the potentiality is there, but sadly, fancy and brand new studio, excellent production and game doesn't make it awesome just yet. remember the 1st GSL where Fruitdealer won ? dont need good players to make it awesome Well, that was because the global player level was pretty low. Korea is entering a established scene this time.
Korea could work as a base for a SEA + China tournament. But it's probably too much money .

I don't understand why LoL is so popular in korea in fact, i don't understand why LoL is more popular than HoN / Dota2
Maybe i'm too old for this stuff
[ edit : apparently we got some LoL's fanboys moderators so i want to clarify the situation, i have no problem with LoL it's a good game, i just dont like it (me,myself&I). ]

yeah i think people just like noob-friendly games now with pathethic skins and different oriented hero (attributes) maybe too that's because it's f2p ? Or because Riot put money in it?
no idea..

Riot aced the advertising part I guess. They made OGN push LoL real fucking hard and yeah it worked. Didn't OGN like give out skins and stuff to people in the audience if they came to the studio too which helped the attendence a lot in the beginning?
I think it was just the 5v5 aspect and that it was something new (read: not Starcraft or some shooter etc) that made it boom too. It could have been Chaos Online, HoN or dota instead of LoL if they just pushed hard enough on OGN before Riot ever did.

Right place, right time. Brood War was aging, Sc2 had yet to be released and a free 2 play game comes along at that opportune moment.

In LoL, you have a lot of fun when you start playing, the fun slowly drops off though, and soon becomes non-existent. Dota is kind of the other way around, it just gets better, but it starts off being really fucking hard and irritating. That's my experience at least.

Can we not have random assumptions about other people's experience of LoL, this usually doesn't end well.
Related to Korea though, Ayesee has said that he might ''relocate'' in the near future(I think atleast) and people have been asking him how his Korean coming along. Take from that what you will.

Might as well be just him joining BTS. He is there currently, casting G-1, so I wouldn't be surprised if it'd be that. Also Ayesee might just be learning Korean, because he was a sc2 caster before and he likes learning it. Just throwing out possibilities here.

Gotta be honest, him moving to Korea sounds way more likely than that he is going to join BTS and is learning Korean because he used to be an SC2 caster.

On an on-topic for the thread comment... drow wr has dropped to 52% in one day. That nerf. Also fnaticEU answering questions they were asked a month ago - http://www.fnatic.com/content/95438/fnatic-eu-dota-amanswered

Well I wasn't trying to say that he's learning korean because he used to be a sc2 caster, but rather that he might've started that long ago, when he was still casting sc2 and is just continouing, because he likes learning the language.

I get it. The timing seems too random, imo.
