It is an official list of invited commentators per discipline. Smile will most likely be just a co-commentator, like he did before. In CIS scene some players often get invited to commentate games when they have free time. Smile said that since he left Na'Vi he will try to commentate more.

You can't dodge assassinate by invisibility. You can only dodge it via disjoint

Yes, it is an intended change from dota 1.

I think the mechanics of assassinate are that the projectile has vision of the target until hits even if sniper doesn't so only a disjoint right before it lands would avoid it.

the most bullshit part about assassination is that its not hard to dodge at all. There will be a debuff on you with a timer if the sniper were casting the skill and you could just time your disjoint skill perfectly to dodge it.
I actually played sniper quite a bit recently. I have never realized how much bullshit is the buff on Shrapnel range. With a bit of mana regen, you could constantly spam shrapnel on tier 1 towers and take it down around 5 mins mark without a problem. No backdoor regen FTW.

Yup, high level sniper is about maxing that shrapnel first, you own your lane on last hit and deny, push when needed and then you can tp for teamfight/counterganking by using that imba shrapnel range/aoe.
Have yet to see anyone use smoke to dodge assassination though :3

Because it doesn't work in DotA 2. It's bugged.
EDIT: or rather, specifically in the case of Assassination, not being disjoined by invis is listed as in intended change, but there are also some general bugs of smoke not disjoining things properly that also apply.

You couldn't dodge assassinate in Dota1 with invisibility either, check Playdota:
• Invisibility doesn't affect the effect of this skill.
Not sure about smoke, but i'm 100% sure you could kill riki or escaping ppl with lothar even without truesight with Assassinate.

What's going on with the Dota 2 calendar events? There were no events apart from TPL yesterday, now SL5 has no streams under it.

oh i thought smoke can be used to dodge assassination, same way like it can dodge zues ulti.
