If you went to JFK and spoke Russian to the guy, he wouldn't feel offended that you were trying to speak Russian to him, he would try to find an official translator for you. Sure that's not possible in Dota, but your comparison doesn't really work. | ||

Some math from the illusions: Lvl 25 PL with Agility power treads, radiance, diffusal blade, heart and butterfly 144 AGI + 8 + 26 + 30 = 208 agility Damage per hit = (33 base + 208 agility)*0.25(illusion) + 36 from diffusal = 93.25 damage/hit Attack speed = (1+2.08)/1.7 = 1.81 attacks/s DPS = 1.81 * 93.25 = 168.78 Lvl 25 PL with Agility power treads, radiance, diffusal blade, heart and daedalus 144 AGI + 8 + 26 = 178 agility Damage per hit = (33 base + 178 agility)*1.425 (daedalus)*0.25(illusion) + 36 from diffusal = 111.1 damage/hit Attack speed = (1+1.78)/1.7 = 1.64 attacks/s DPS = 1.64*11.1 = 182 DPS As you can see, daedalus makes your illusions deal a bit more damage (and your hero much more damage, won't do the math) than butterfly. On the other hand, butterfly gives you more survivability, mana burn and faster illusion replication. Usually butterfly is better, but if your illusions aren't getting killed, Daedalus lets you kill heroes better and push faster (because melee creeps lack mana, and butterfly build is more reliant on mana burn). So yeah, daedalus has its place, specially as sixth item. | ||
