When it's ready, aka we have no idea.

It's not important though; anyone that wants to can get a key with only a little effort or a little cash. Keys are really easy to get hold of.

Kk alteast they are not rushing it. Can one buy a key to support Valve?

You can get one directly from them, though it comes with costly bundle of cosmetic items, it's probably easier to go around asking for steam trades, people currently trade them for something like 2 dota chest keys, which will end up costing to you about quarter or less of the bundle.

How much calmer is the select thread compared to the other threads of people switching games O.o Are they just tired or they really hate LoL that much?

Diferent situation. As far as I know Select hasn't been a top player for a while, and even then he was only relevant in the NA scene. Plus it seems he had a Dota history I never really knew about. It's not like Tasteless or other casters "dropping" SC2 to cast LoL or a lot of koreans switching games, some of them that were actually pretty damn good at some point. He also retired, and may switch to less demanding games if he can, but it's nothing definitive. It's more like Jinro/Haypro retiring, and noone complained about that. He basically isn't able to keep playing SC, so he may play Dota. sC/Coca/etc. were able to play sC, but chose to play LoL.

Everything else also has been blown out of proportion.

There are no rules regarding this kind of thing right now.

Its nothing like MLG, and you know perfectly well thats the case. Valve has always been vague on how much you can do with DotaTV tickets.

And yeah, nothing like streaming porn to your viewers right? And being the only caster on the scene to charge for VoDs?

Talk about professional.

Charge for vods? when did Godz do that?

probably from Gigabyte Dota Masters/BTS World Tour, but

Conclusion: Low Priority can be easily dodged once Dota 2 comes out. Just make another account and let the LP go on the cool down. Leavers gonna leave.

Where on earth are you playing from, to get Russian and Singlish?!?!?! Well I agree that there are tons of Singapore players who are leavers.. playing 4v5 or 4v4 Dota1 on lancraft/Garena was the norm because there was never a 5v5 game.

Lah is actually more Malaysian than Singaporean.

Singaporeans spam "la" too. How to definitively tell a player is from Singapore? A lot of abbreviated vulgarities in Hokkien dialect.

Hm, I thought 'lah' was more Malaysian, though Singaporeans definitely use it too.

It's just something you pick up over time from living there though.

Hi guys....Sorry if this sounds noob ><

But, isn't Dota 2 already released to the public? Or is it still in beta? What phase is it in? If not, when is the full release?

I have played Dota before, so what are some new changes to the game introduced in dota 2?

Thanks guys
Regarding the imbalance, hilarious to see Zergs defending themselves....

The game is still in closed beta, though they have sent out a ton of keys so it's very active. The full release will probably be in a few months, since they don't have all that many more heroes to add and most of the systems are in place already. The game is really fun and functional at this point, but I think they will wait until they have a "complete package" and release it then.

There are really no new changes introduced in Dota 2. The game obviously looks a bajillion times better and has a modern sweet engine, but the game has been made to mirror dota 1 down to the really small details such as turn rates, cast animations and everything. The biggest additions are outside of the game itself, a cosmetic store with gear for the heroes, matchmaking, in-client streaming etc.

EM is for people who want a easier game. Its a dumb mode, but understandable because people who don't know the game at all are not gonna know when you push or take towers etc. Then again people don't know that now.

EG.Demon[RC] is demonstrating the clock build i talked about weeks ago maxing cog harass solo.

I come from a HoN background, so this might just be me, but Clockwerk's casting animation seems incredibly long.

I was used to the spells happening almost instant with Pharaoh (Clockwerk's counterpart in HoN), but in Dota 2 his casting animation/casting speed just seems incredibly long. Strong hero nonetheless, but I just miss how fast paced the hero seemed in HoN.

I am pretty sure there is no 'animation'(just a robot with this wrench up and down in dota1) but casting point is a bit slower than normal hero. Factor in the lag issue it make clock one of the very unique hero to play. To me Clock is like a different version of batrider, similar to gyro when you compare him to Luna. The point is the hero mechanic itself is extremely unique in all the RTS genre that make it hard to play for normal casual players. But once you mastered him, there are a lot of fun stuff you could play around and exploit. Unlike heroes like Barathum or Zeus, extremely linear and dont have much variation to play around.

Casting point, animation, etc, you know what I mean.

In HoN you could react instantly: Is someone getting ganked? Use his hook to get there asap. Do you need to stop someone from escaping? Use the mummywalls/cogs. Hellfire/Battery Assault takes about the same time to case - but the rest just seem completely different.

I mean .. I completely understand the hero. In couting both HoN and dota I probably have at least 60-70 games with him, and since he's just my kind of hero (relies on good positioning and has a great "blocking spell", like ES, another of my favorites) I'm quite aware of his role, his play-style and his capabilities.

It might be that I'm just not familiar and accustomed with the hero in Dota 2, and that I need to work out his timings, but his spells just feel as if they take far too long to use. The Dota 2 Wiki says that his cast speed is 0.3+0.51. That seems terribly long.

Maaaaan .... I might just be whining
