I know lots of people consider Linkens to be a trash item but it seems to make a lot of sense on Weaver who is all about just surviving as much as possible while running around invis, picking off people in fights (and I was vs a Doom in one game). Radiance is usually unattainable in good time in pubs, due to usually not getting good support in a safe lane and also being a bad player! So yeah, what do I get on the blue bug dude Phase->2 out of Drum/Urn/Aquila->Manta is fun as hell if you can play weaver mid. Always chase never not chase. Treads -> Radiance -> Manta is probably more stable for a sidelane. Keep in mind that you won't be able to fight against real hardcarries lategame because you will lose dps during shakuchi and your "steroid" isn't exactly awesome either, you have to abuse your strong midgame to carry your team. After the items above you can't really go wrong with Bfly/Heart/MKB/Crit depending on the situation.

Radiance is usually unattainable in good time in pubs, due to usually not getting good support in a safe lane and also being a bad player! So yeah, what do I get on the blue bug dude Weaver 's lategame is actually largely overrated in a lot of cases. He is a ranged agi hero, but his time to shine is largely in the midgame teamfight power of his kit. He can't outtrade harder carries lategame in sustained exchanges, but he is very good at killing back-line heroes, eating a round of spells, and disengaging and re-engaging. Linken's sucks on Weaver because it's a farm item. As Weaver, who's strength is primarily midgame, getting a farm item like Linken's that commits so little to fighting stats early (you will have zero fighting power if you just have a Perseverance), you're going to farm your way into a game-loss against stronger lategame carries. You need midgame stat items that let you go to teamfights and crush them (which is where Weaver shines). If you are sidelane, get Aquila. If you are mid, leave the Wraith Band and get Bottle for regen instead of Aquila. Urn+Treads+Aquila+Wand->Radiance or Desolator->BKB->later game situational stuff. Desolator is easier to build than Radiance and is very nice with the -armor synergy with Swarm, but Radiance feels more stable if you can get to it smoothly. That said, a lot of your strength is in those midgame fights leading up to either item. Treads+Janggo is also nice, but I feel Urn+Aquila is a bit smoother (provides significantly more regen whereas Janggo is just direct fighting stats), especially since Janggo got nerfed.

Tranq Aquila Medallion(maybe, personally I REALLY like medallion on him). Drums MKB with stick/wand somewher in there. Ofcourse if you can rush the radiance and get it within ~18min then by all means.

Ofcourse if you can rush the radiance and get it within ~18min then by all means. Tranq+Medallion vs. Treads+Urn is an interesting comparison. Both give HP regen + mana regen in some form and fighting stats (Medallion active vs. higher right click damage + urn active). The awkward thing about Tranq+Medallion is that it provides survivability primarily in the form of armor, while Treads+Urn does so primarily through Strength gain. IMO the HP is what Weaver needs more of early game (given his abysmal base Strength and Strength growth)--he needs the HP to survive a potential round of nukes to be able to Time Lapse away, which makes me feel more comfortable with Urn+Treads rather than Tranq+Medallion. At the very least, Tranq+Medallion pretty much requires a Vit Booster or some other form of HP to compensate.

Urn also relies on having charges, if you don't get the kill due to outside interferences and you run out of charges, its a waste, you will always have medallion.

The smoothest thing about Urn+Bottle is that you can apply both, Shukuchi to prevent them from being interrupted, and have healed 300+ HP by the time Shukuchi runs out. If you're fast you can also treads-swap Str->Agi->back to Str in there to squeeze out more effective healing. Realistically, you shouldn't have trouble picking up Urn charges so long as you're actually in the fights. You don't have to get the kill to get the Urn charge, urn collection range is 1400 (which is pretty damn long), and it's not like Weaver has problems moving around in a fight.

I am terrible at using cogs properly, I often just wind up getting myself killed because I use it improperly. I also have no idea what good items are for him, or what is good situationally on him. I'm also not really clear what my role should be in a lot of games, normally i try to play as a beefy initiator, but sometimes I feel unsure if that's the right way to play him, and maybe I should take a more supportive role. Halp? Advice?
