Also even a release of dota 2 doesn't mean the chinese scene will switch. See SC2. It's a decently different situation than what happened with SC2 with most if not all of the top DotA teams already regularly playing Dota 2. Doesn't mean that the people watching actually like it. Although the nearly 250k chinese viewers at TI2 might suggest so.

Also even a release of dota 2 doesn't mean the chinese scene will switch. See SC2. SC2 is a fundamentally different game from BW in a massive number of ways. Dota 2 is trying as hard as possible to just be a clone of dota 1 (for now and for the foreseeable future, aka Icefrog has promised parity between the two for as long as he is able. He acknowledged that eventually it would just be dota 2 work full time but made it sound like that's years away when all possible mechanics in WC3 have been exhausted and require new heroes to be on a different engine).
Also Icefrog is the driving developmental force behind dota 1/2 (and has been during the duration of its high popularity in China) while the BW design team I'm pretty sure had nothing to do with SC2.
Did Valve hire Eul? He was in the audience at TI2 and people seemed to recognize him. If they did hire Eul then it's even stranger to try and compare Dota 2 to SC2
edit : Also Valve said that this update was small because lots of behind the scenes work is going on - that to me would imply work on either a new UI or integration of something engine-driven that would take time (aka LAN). There's already a lan button in-game it just doesn't function. I don't think behind the scenes work would apply to a 6 hero patch or something like that.

I was more talking regarding the transition in general. Most people don't like changes.

More wit and wisdom from Fear's stream:
"WHY WOULD ICEFROG PICK ANTIMAGE AGAINST US IN A PUB?!!?"
And bdiz assures us: "to all the people in chat, that is Icefrog, and he's actually pretty good so Fear's going to lose."
|
Wut. is icefrog really playing antimage on fear's stream or is bdiz trolling
|
Who the hell knows. No one on that stream is ever not trolling, but it's such next-level trolling that it's hard to tell when it's ironic trolling.
|
Sometimes fear says he's playing Pudge, and he picks pudge, and i STILL suspect him of trolling.

I was just thinking, there should be a hero with a skillshot heal in this game. Have it be like useless up close but get better at range. Just for the rage of course, "omg noob miss heal i die report".

You can also use it to remove buffs. Like repel removes darkseer surge.
At least from what I remember the last time I played Omni... 5 years ago.

So i just beat the team liquid stack, how do i join the team liquid stack?
They lied to me when i asked if they were together too
i feel so shunned

You're only gosu Pudge when you get Swapped into Force Staff into curved Hook with Chen TP to base.

Dazzle's grave is not exactly a skillshot, but on some aspect it's close to it (you have to estimate the amount of burst damage the ennemy team can do to the target to be use the grave at the last moment in order to maximise its usefullness). And it also leads to a lot of rage from people that expect that they should never die if you are in a 2km radius around the no matter what they do.
