Also i'm wondering how do you keep up on levels and get some gold as support? and what are your priorities in a game(like gankgankgank or stay and support in lane)? I was playing visage if it matters. | ||

As for leveling, you can leech XP off others' farm sometimes, you can jungle a little on your own, and again, make sure you're involved in kills. Efficiency can also be helped by making sure you're using the courier to bring you stuff instead of going back to base. Particularly make sure you know what's in the side and secret shops so you don't accidentally spend courier time on stuff that can be bought from there, nor walk all the way back to base. That kind of thing will make sure you can stay in XP range a greater % of the time. It sounds like you did well overall. It's important to keep a cool head when stuff like that happens because it's not always the end of the world. | ||

you get gold and levels by stacking jungle camps and pulling lane creeps to them when your wave is pushed out too far your priorities in a game depend on what hero you are playing, certain heroes are suited to roam and gank like VS while other supports like lich are much more defensive and just control the creep wave while babysitting | ||

And my item build was probably kinda retarded, I got wards and courier, 2 gg branches, healing salve.and ring of protection into some other things like ring of regen and eventually power treads and a mek. I'm thinking that I should've got arcane boots since we didnt have any. Am i guessing right or are treads good on supports for the stats? Edit: I also built a medallion for the mana regen lol | ||

Edit: I also built a medallion for the mana regen lol Since it's your first time in Dota, I recommend following the "recommended items" for each hero for now until you gain enough experience to move onto more appropriate item builds for each individual hero. Also, just a friendly advice is to not play Visage at your level because he's very difficult for beginners to use and pretty much force your team to 4v5 if you do not utilize Visage and its familiars properly. | ||

Lycanthrope was a guilty pleasure of mine ever since his big overhaul(when he became jungle material and his ulti became autohasted). Tried it once, but Basi or Vlad are insufficient for the wolf mana cost and you have to tank with your hero fulltime. Nerfed so hard. It feels like going wolfless would be the better jungle build now until you have vlads. Anyway I never played him on lane in years. I´m too afraid to actually pick him, as his very old laning was fucking awful. Suddenly Bounty Hunter is my guilty pleasure hero thanks to the shadowblade guide. Just played him 6 times in a row and now I´m proficient at playing him. Me myself didnt really care about winning but to have good game we need some good heroes and execution from the start. Like i cant pick invoker for our mid solo, cant pick naga for our farm carry.... things are just so... weird. We finally end up with something like Lina solomid in practice which pretty much make no sense but somehow we won bc our players know what they were doing... | ||
