To people who've played in the patch, are alche / SB / PL as stupid as anticipated or are their strength overexagerated?

Alchemist though lol, basically just have a friend stack the camps for you, any camp, even the small obtain massive amounts of GPM and roll the game.

Ninja edit ! :o SB is actually weaker against teams with wards due to severe hits to his damage at lvs 3-25 PL is quite strong, I can see it being played as a more flexible 4-1 core due to it being much more viable during the midgame as stuff like AM, as we discussed previously before that... unfortunate interlude Mag and Nyx are also 2 extremely strong heroes imo. I can't really see Nyx losing mid to anything besides maybe TA atm

EDIT: Wait... I just heard the commentator say that everyone in the team buys wards, and only in pubs support heroes are the only ones that buy wards, this just blew my mind. with 6 wards you can cover every gank path in LoL. so top buys one jungler buys 1 mid buys 1 support buys 3 annnyyway on to important things. leo's buff actually is pretty cool. OoV leo fun times, dunno if it's good. but it feels nice.

So first iG 5 man hide to gank at level 1, and this was a surprising strategy for some reason? More importantly, in Dota, you don't just run around in your forest when all 5 are missing unless you're there for a reason (warding, and even then you typically protect or make sure the enemy can't have gotten there in time). Why didn't this dude waiting to jungle stay at his tower until the lanes have been populated? And another time, 2 dudes were in a lane, one guy jumps the other. So he runs back to his tower and dies. The killer takes like 1 tower hit, escapes with 40% hp. Then they say 'big plays'. Surely if the attacker can escape with 40% that's an over-extension by the person who dies, not a 'big play'. I don't know, I gave it a shot. Pretty much any other eSport in the world could get me sucked in by just having a big event with decent production. Like EVO, I don't play fighting games and I don't really like watching them either, but EVO is just so big and spectacular that it sucks me in and for a weekend I'm a fighting game fan.

I just played it like DotA really, kinda weird but not weird at the same time. Didn't know jungle was such a big deal ether EDIT: Who is this pillow guy? WTF is up with that? Why would you sleep on a pillow that you drew on with a marker EDIT2: looking up and seeing 159 streams with 226380 total viewers is weird

EDIT: Wait... I just heard the commentator say that everyone in the team buys wards, and only in pubs support heroes are the only ones that buy wards, this just blew my mind. I remembered the part where a hero blinked into his tower and then TP out to avoid a 3 man gank. The commentator was like " OMG THAT IS SOME SICK PLAY WITH SICK MAP AWARENESS". I was like ~_~ this is the same shit I do in dota pub. LoL game is pretty much: Farm farm farm team fight if win teamfight, kill baron and end game. It is common to see like 2-4 deaths in the first 15 mins and the game ends with less than 30 kills. If you got wiped in teamfight, you pretty much fucked for the rest of the game.

You just have to reach that lvl 16 and you will slay many. edit: Also Necrolyte is absolutely sick right now. <3 All the (previous) popular carries had an inbuilt escape mechanism (AM blink, morphling everything), could farm up easily (AM BF). Morph is one of the strange hard carries that comes online with a single big item (eblade) so he was really powerful once he got it. Now that the popular heroes got hit by the nerfbat, I'm not sure how drow holds up against them.

This being said i like him more on the safe lane with supports. radiance on necrolyte too much pain to give up. EDIT: for drow i can see her being amazing in a meticulously planned draft, where you pick heroes that boost in power (and get new items) as drow hits 6, 11 and most importantly 16. letting you do huge sweeping pushes at each peak.

All the regen he gets is over time, sadist synergizes really well with death pulse now and leads even more towards an item progression that focuses on maximizing EHP, utility, and int without as much a focus on just straight HP/survival items. In some ways old sadist was a little better due to the instant mana regen (mainly in laning phase but it's totally counteracted by how good the hp regen component is). He doesn't actually scale particularly well into the late-game is the biggest weakness - once sadist is level 4 you're getting the same hp back from killing a level 4 hero as from killing a level 25 hero, heartstopper begins to be outstripped by passive regen of many heroes, death pulse is flat magic damage, etc. He's still excellent at just destroying a single opposing carry but falls short versus multiple very farmed opponents late in the game. His niche is still mid-game pushing/teamfighting he just doesn't need any alternate sources of mana or life regen besides his passive to do it anymore. I didn't try it on Necrolyte but Rod of Atos seems rather good on both him and Bat now that it offers superior hp to a straight vit booster, nice int gain and a nice active. edit : if you're doing aura's go ahead and add in Luna and BeastM. Luna/VS/Bm/Drow/X isn't really a terrible lineup and Luna/Drow both greatly increase in power at levels 11/16.

I'm really curious about the changes the patch is going to have competitively. I wouldn't recommend that game though. Also both team agreed to not pick Treant, which is understandable like 12 hours after the patch,
