Yeah got the same here, looks like meepo messed the servers up

Never? as long as the move speed maintain, instead of paying 950 for a tread, you could buy half a yasha which give you way more DPS or an orge axe to increase survivability. I often drop it at very late game where i completed 5 slots on need BoT for counter pushing. Also dont get aquila on luna, personally i think it is an overrated item and you can get much better stuff.

is steam/dota2 down for anyone else? Or is it just me?
edit: sorry should've read the last page first

Steam is taking its time doing its maintenance on its servers today. It might take a little longer. Source came from their twitter.

It is a somewhat overrated item, but IMO Luna is one of the heroes that Aquila's mana regen is really smooth for, as opposed to other options.

Are tranquil boots that good? Only time I've really made them is on PL/naga so that I could go soulring/tranq/rush radiance. Are they worth getting on other heroes, and when do you replace them with treads/phase? It's always felt like once you don't need the hp regen from them anymore phase or treads would offer more for a carry/semi carry.

Man this is insane. I decided to learn meepo (not much of a dota 1 player) and holyfuckingshit do you WIN or LOSE.
Nothing else. You either fucking stomp lvl 16 at 16 minutes and they don't have 4 heroes picked to counter you alone, or they pick pudge ES bounty shadow shaman and something else to beat me 50 minutes in and they play find the meepo.
No other hero I've played taunts the team to such reactions.
But really, meepo is the most fun hero I've ever played......just wish I didn't have to instantly pick him or somebody picks him who is TERRIBLE, and then because I instantly picked him I have the sign on my face saying COUNTER THE FUCKING PISS OUT OF ME.
Meh, I'll keep playing meepo anyway.

It's always felt like once you don't need the hp regen from them anymore phase or treads would offer more for a carry/semi carry. Tranquil Boots give you superior regen to an RoH for significantly less gold (3 HP/sec + equivalent 6.8 HP/sec from active; RoH costs 875, RoP+RoR costs 500) while also giving some minor armor and the value of upgraded boots as a bonus. They're smooth to buy on anyone who wants a regen source in lane but find RoH or Bottle awkward (Luna is a good example here because Tranquil+Aquila/Janggo have much higher efficiency than Treads/Phase+HotD and are also much smoother to buy in pieces).
There really is no need to replace Tranquil's with Treads/Phase until you're on 6 items. Attack speed, stats, and damage can easily be gotten on other items, and there's not that much gain in effectiveness going from Tranquil's->Treads/Phase when you take into account the fact that you're throwing away 250 gold selling the Tranquil's.
One thing I wish DotA 2 did was show the amount of time remaining until your deactivated Tranquil's reactivates. It does this for Blink Dagger (the item display shows the 3 sec damage-disable timer for Blink), but not Tranquil's.

Support to the extreme, Riki is good support:

i had a random dream last night that I was playing AA and micro'ing a disconnected sand king at the same time against an enemy slark (in dota 2!), and he just wouldn't freaking die. He kept dark pacting away away our stuns, cold feet and AA blast, and we both narrowly escaped with our lives.
Freaking slark man...what a sucky dream

Pretty much shocked by that because that ulti even goes through bkb.

for example: bkb blocks tide's ult, but not voids doom's ult disables ALL passives (except for void's bactrack)
etc etc.
