God damnit Meepo is hard to play.
I don't play dota very often so it doesn't help, but the multitasking and the generalblink ploof combo is hard on your fingers. Probably as much as starcraft.

Wow that dotabuff.com site is really awesome. I just checked my account really quickly and I instantly noticed that I have a 45.55% winrate when I play with Erasme ( LOL I love you dude <3 ), a 68% winrate with Dark Seer ( 27 matches played ) and a 60% winrate with leshrac ( 25 matches played ). Pretty cool ^^ .

Interesting how several people predicted that Disruptor would be a frequent new pick at TI2, and that ended up not being the case, but now as other tournaments have started up again he seems to be very very popular. I for one welcome him.

So how do you guys play meepo (Item/skill/lane wise?)

would mid maxing poof first getting one level of stun and geostrike (then max stun) be alright? I usually do it that way going for basi treads mek blink vlads to whatever

No reason to get geostrike before net or poof are maxed.
That range on net is way more important than that small slow

I see, guess it makes sense given that you just poof everything. What about item builds/lanes?

For item builds you aura /aoe effects exclusively, but treads are a must, they are the best boots for meepo. Mek vlads ac drums

Well, normally you got like treads then something like mek/drums into blink dagger.
And then normally something like a heart, ac or agha.

My knowledge on the hero might not be quite up to snuff since it's been so long since I used to play him frequently, and I was much worse at dota then anyway but here's my input.

I think it might be best to go for tranquils (which didn't exist back when I played), they give a lot of flexibility in the way of being able to jungle better if and when you get targeted in lanes. I played a couple of bot games and it seems that with 2 meepos (so at lvl11, no reason to abandon laning altogether) you can clear camps comfortably apart from the bear camp. It's usually better to have your main Meepo be among the junglers, so you benefit from whatever auras you've already finished. Then mek, vlads, treads into whatever you need. I don't have experience with Aghs on meepo so I can't comment on that, (it either didn't work or I didn't know it worked or I thought it was shit, not sure). Mostly you'll want blink into probably Pipe, maybe AC.

I always get just 1 poof after 6, the rest after 11. I know both poof spam and geostrike stacking are strong but I don't know which is possibly stronger. I feel geostrike is better when there are only 2 Meepos.

In my DotA pubs, people always insta repicked or begged for a swap, myself included, if he was randomed

now I'm actually pretty eager to learn him in Dota 2, no idea why

No,
there is absolutely no possible situation where maxing poof at 7 is not the best thing to do.

Poof is absolutely critical to your farming speed to double-poof stacked camps.

If you have the micro, poof gives you a lot more potential than geostrike.
If you don't have the micro, meepo with poof is perfect for training it.
So either way you turn it, go get poof.

Even if you don't have the micro, poof-first massively outfarms and outlevels geostrike-first.
