I had a perfect star amethyst plan drop in act3 last week, had a look at prices for those gems in the AH and of course thought "well maybe there's some money to be made in these, it's LoH on weapons and +% life in helms, and six mil a pop ain't too shabby at all". After blowing a big chunk of my money on getting all mats and plans for the lower tier, though, I got the feeling that it might actually be quite hard to turn a decent profit on those, considering the blizz tax - and especially since emeralds are now all the rage because of crit and all that jazz. So, in a nutshell, has anyone had any good experience selling gems on the AH or should I just call it quits and save that money for some neglected slots upgrade? Thanks! (Oh and btw, does anyone know when commodities will be available in the EU RMAH?) | ||

Not that many to comPare either The Dex is quite high and that gives you crazy prices if you search for 150+ dex. There was none on EU below 1m as well. But when lowering to 140+Dex it´s a few 100k and with 130+ it were below 100k even. Always with Socket and Vitality. There are far cheaper and better helms without 150dex which get additional Dps through IAS, Crit or Critdamage. Seaching for a really high stat is always very misleading and if it´s not a true high end item nobody will pay for additional 10Dex 1million. | ||

To have the most effect Armour/AllRes should have a ratio of 10:1, so +300 is equivalent to 30AR. Unfortunately the 2 classes which really look for high reduction don´t look for the +armour. Barbs can have crazy armour values so they look more to raise AR, monks can get crazy AR with a passive talent so usually look for items with AR and a single resist on top. Additionally AR can get to +80. While it´s not bad if +armour is on an item very few people will look for it. | ||

Only Life on hit is missing. Even just searching for +140dex/vit and 4% ias gives the at least 4 million buyout without looking at other stats. Really don´t feel confident in this price range, to many variables and the person who wants something like this must have the money. For endgame DH crit/critdamage is missing but the dex and ias is good too ofc... Can just say looks like serveral million at least, let it bid and don´t look for fast money. | ||
