the thing is pulling all those players together and making them work like a team, look at what happened last time RM did something like this. but we'll see Pellegrini is a good coach. btw I still don't know how are they going to get over 200M++ just in jersey sales -_-

Targets are Arbeloa (Right/Left back), Xabi Alonso (Middlefielder) and Ribery or Silva (wingers) That will make something like:
-------------------------Lass/Alonso/Gago --Ribery/Robben------Kaka/Sneijder-----Ronaldo/Robben --------------Higuain/Raúl -------------------------Benzema/Huntelaar
It's an awesome roster, but probably Huntelaar and Robben are out to afford some of the signings. Let's see what the hell comes next, my expectations were already lower than this.
Btw, Barça signs Keirrirson tomorrow, young brazilian striker. 15m€ Close also to sign Filipe Luis, brazilian left back, currently at Deportivo de La Coruña, former player of Real Madrid youth team.

word is out now that michael owen is close to signing with united. thoughts?
i've always liked owen and it's disappointing to see how his career turned out with all the injury hits to his knee. he was playing at a sick level before that, pretty sad. it's good though that he's getting another chance to play for a top top team after moving down from liverpool/madrid to newcastle. i hope he can find his form back, he was really fun to watch.
|
I've never been a Michael Owen fan and I also think we are going to have find better replacements than him and Antonio Valencia to even have a shot of winning the title again.
I would love to see the two Dutch players Robben and Huntelaar join united cause they are going to be sitting on the bench for RM anyway. Ribery would be another great addition but that's obviously not happening

Kaka, Ronaldo, Benzema, Albiol (and maybe Ribery, Silva) to one team... Most ridiculous Silly Season ever? If Real Madrid can make a functioning team out of all these super players they'll pwn really hard.
|
that's just insane, no team can work with 4 offensive players fielded at the same time, no team in the world, in italy 3 are already too many, you need one of the 3 strikers to be a workhorse to balanche the team, but i guess in spain it's different. Anyway, if the coach is not drunk, he will only be able to field, for example, kaka, ronaldo and benzema. Leaving in the bench higuain, huntelaar, robben (omg) van der vaart, and, unless you really force his role, also sneijder couldn't play. Don't tell me Kaka and Ronaldo are wingers, because they're not the calssical wingers you can field in a 4-4-2, they should be able to tackle, run back to their own penality area to chase the fullbacks and support their own fullbacks, go to fight and gain balls in the midfield ecc, ecc. I'm pretty sure that not Kaka and neither Ronaldo would accept to do this work.
Oh lol i forgot that in the bench there will be also raul and van nilsterooy

Kaka does support work (tackling, coming back to help defenders), Ronaldo's just a show pony who bitches when he loses the ball.
Robben (if he isn't injured every second game) , Huntelaar, van Nistelrooy are probably going to be on the bench all season if they aren't sold.
Owen going to Man Utd is stupid, he's old(er) (29) and gets injured frequently and nowhere near the previous heights he reached playing for Liverpool, definitely WORSE than Tevez.
I used to like Adebayor but i'm kind of starting to dislike him so he can go fk off to Ac Milan cos he thinks he's the shit after his impressive 07/08 season, now he just reminds me of a skinny pole who manages some acrobatic goals (cough peter crouch cough) and Arsenal could do with a player more like Henry who can take on defenders and is fast. Just hope Fabregas doesn't leave to Barca :o

Kaka helps out a lot in the back, yeah. But Robben or Huntelaar on the bench would be insane. o.o I hope some clubs are going to buy them.
Fabregas has said several times he wants to stay at Arsenal.

asking Kaka to do the supporting/defending is such a waste of talent...

I wholeheartedly support this transfer. LOL

how the hell can owen get a club to sign him is beyond me.
If he get anything but a pay per play contract, his agent and himself is the greatest salesman

Just hope Fabregas doesn't leave to Barca :o kaka has never been a "true" midfielder like Zidane was for example ,he's more like a striker fashioned into a midfielder than runs his ass off till he reaches the Area , and makes those pin-point accurate long shots. To ask him to do defensive roles and be on the back wouldn't be a good idea imo and would be a waste like mentioned above.. And yeah sometimes i think Perez just buys big names for the sake of buying. I sti'll don't know exactly how is he's gonna get over 200M just by jersey sales, The guy better start reselling Zidane shirts in China,, printing Florentino/Valdano jerseys and sh.it cause i don't see how he's gonna get it done by that method alone.

It's official, Manchester United have signed Owen, but considering it was on a free, it won't be the first signing
It's just a surprise how Man U were pushing for Benzema for ages and instantly change attention to Owen

i think they just got outbid for benzema, i like the luis fabiano rumours though, he was impressive during confederations cup.

Hahaha, that's a lot of hype for Vassell

Fabiano does seem quite good, but I want to see Ferguson buying more young players, because Fabiano's at the age where he won't get a whole lot better. Obviously buying high potential young players is easier said than done
