Obama is great and all but I wouldn't mind if Hilary won it. Afterall, we would have Bill Clinton back in the White House! My question is what he would be called? The first gentleman

Shit, I guess we hope for a Clinton/Obama ticket...

hold your horses, we have to see how the delegates broke down for the day

and so far clinton has won 8 states obama has won 13 states

one state is undecided

edit: according to my calculations, if the democratic primaries were truly proportional then clinton would have 807 delegates to obama's 805.

however the process isn't fully proportional, so we'll have to see how the numbers break down

If the democrats don't win the election next year... regardless of who is chosen, the rest of the world gets to invade and occupy America and change their government.
Social Justice is a fools errand. May all the adherents at its church be thwarted. Of all the religions I have come across, it is by far the most detestable.

After what has been widely seen as an exciting campaign so far, turnout was expected to be high - though glitches with voting machines in Florida, long queues to show voter ID in Georgia, and bad weather in other states may have put some people off.
of my fucking god Florida...

Obama is within striking distance of Clinton following Super Tuesday and has tons of $$$ to spend on advertising on the next round of states.

New Mexico still so damn close

98% reporting and Obama has 65,036 votes to Clinton's 64,965

edit: this is one of those situations that proves that every vote matters

Those are always cool. Two years ago, our school budget passed by 3 votes.

so someone with more knowledge than me...

What is the total 'score' now?
What states are left to vote?

McCain is pretty much on easy street I think, he may be speaking to unite conservatives but he knows he just has to sit back. If Hillary takes the nomination then all he has to do is point out if they don't back him there will be another Clinton in the white house. Which I don't see conservatives taken lightly. So right now all he has to do is watch Obama and Clinton duke it out and hope for a Clinton nomination.

Sighs, If Ron Paul doesn't make it, I guess I'd have to go for Obama.

But if anything, his run has made me a libertarian, whatever the results.

I hope the democratic primary ends soon. I really hope they don't waste all of their funds fighting against each other, and getting completely gassed before the actual election occurs

I was reading the paper today and they ahd a story about young voters. One girl said something to the extent of 'I voted for hillary because I think we need a woman in the White House. It's a big step forward for feminists'

Allow me to take the time say:

Fuck you if your vote was based on sex
Fuck you if your vote was based on skin color
Fuck you if your vote was based on religious beliefs

My fucking GOD. I didn't realize that all of these things were more important than the character of the candidate and their fucking platforms

/end rant

I have to say i'm pretty confortable with the way the primaries are going. Hillary and Obama are both good cantidates, their policies are very similar and I am indifferent to which one gets the democratic nomination as long as they WIN against the nutty republicans.

On the republican side... I am happy McCain is the front runner. Despite the fact he supports the war and is pro-life, he strongy opposes torture and seems to be the most sane and genuine of all the republicans. (Romney seems fake and Huckabee is just an idiot) He seems to be more of a "traditional" conservative that people might be able to actually work with if he ends up winning. Also, Ann Coulter along with many hardcore nutty conservatives like Rush Limbaugh strongly oppose him, which I think is a great sign. Shit, I'll support anyone Coulter and Limbaugh don't like. I'm not at all saying I endorse McCain or want him to win... I'm just saying him winning would be the least disasterous.

If the republicans win I'm moving to Canada...

If it's McCain vs Clinton, I'd put my $ on McCain.

Some republicans might hate McCain, but they all HATE hillary, as do many dems.

Hell, even if Obama gets the nod and goes against McCain, it's going to be difficult for the dems.
