I mean yeah if you are playing with well defined tactics in combat and your group is running like a well oiled machine. bards get tons of level 1 spells and can pick and choose from them as they need. its not like missing out on tasha's hideous laughter is going to be keeping the party from advancing because they chose to get one of their party members back on their feet in battle. especially if you are using a bonus action to do so rather than a full action. | ||

Only healing spell I really like is healing word because it's an emergency heal that doesn't fuck over your whole turn. | ||

It also makes no goddamn sense for Bards, who get their magic from song, but for whatever reason still have to touch their target to use Cure Wounds. | ||
