Trump embarrassing himself and the country again. Fun.

Notice noone is rushing to his defense on this father and sacrifice issue.

NFL games are always on Sunday, Monday night, and Thursday night.

So yeah, it's not like you can schedule something on prime-time on a Sunday in the fall and not know you're going to come up against a football game. I really honestly don't know how anyone doesn't know this, and furthermore, how neither of you could see the irony of not knowing how schedules are made while sneering at the idiots who don't know how schedules are made....

Christ these veteran comments are so disgusting, the GOP should honestly just have taken a four year time out. Even that would have been more respectable than nominating Trump.

Okay but he complained that they are up against "major NFL games". He also claims that Hillary and the democratic party rigged it which is false. The idea that the presidential debates must be scheduled to avoid sporting events is kind of stupid.

Or maybe you schedule the debates for, y'know, primetime regardless of what else might be on then because it's primetime and that's when people watch TV?

That post by cowboy is a prime example of why americans get ridiculed around the world: tons of useless, unfounded, scared bullshit.

This post is a prime example of why Americans are sick of sending our soldiers to protect the rest of the world. They constantly blast us and our ways and our culture and sneer at us. The only thing they love is our blood. No matter what we do, it is the same story: hate on America and then scream and moan whenever anyone in America suggests that maybe we shouldn't be protecting people who hate us.

Also, I notice you didn't actually refute anything I said. We all know why you didn't. So go ahead and keep attacking, it's all you've got and it's all you'll ever have. And it's why your side is losing.

You are such a contemptible person. People don't hate you because you're American, they hate you because you're you. Crying "if you don't stop laughing at my stupidity and the stupidity of people like me then my nation will withdraw from it's geopolitical commitments which it chooses to do because they serve my nation's geopolitical aims" is just digging yourself further. This is why people have contempt for you. Your response to contempt is contemptible. You're an embarrassment to your country.

Actually, the only people I've ever seen act this way are hardcore internet leftists. Even hardcore leftists don't act that way when they are in person, because they know there will be at least some kind of response. Anonymity combined with a childish inability to argue without attaching personal value to one's position leads some to lash out with utterly ridiculous and over the top attacks when challenged.

My nation's aims are not served by NATO, but I refuse to argue with someone who cannot argue in good faith, so I will say nothing further to you. Have a nice life.

He is not, as his prior note about there always being NFL games on certain days in prime time. Though of course the particular matchups were not set at that time.

There's prime time something on every night of the week in the fall except for Saturday nights, which is a horrible night to broadcast anything. He was also suggesting that the DNC rigged this, which is patently ridiculous, since the schedule was set long before the particular game schedule came out and it's set by a non-partisan commission.

If someone cares about the debate, they'll probably be watching that instead. I really don't see the issue.

Let's also remember that the 2012 election had a presidential debate on a Monday and a VP debate on a Thursday, and the 2008 election had 2 presidential debates conflicting with football (Monday and Thursday) and the VP debate on a Thursday.

Presidential debates do not and should not make excuses for football. Stop being a Trump apologist.

So if Sunday and Monday are the ones always to avoid because of football, this year 2/4 were on those days. (Or with Thursdays 3/4)
2012 1/4 were on those days (Thurs 2/4)
2008 1/4 were on those days. (Thurs 3/4)
2004 0/4 were on those days. (Thurs 1/4)
2000 0/4 were on those days. (Thurs 1/4)

edit
1996 1/4 were on those days (a Sunday no less) (Thurs 1/3)
1992 2/4 were on those days (Thurs 3/4)
1988 1/3 were on those days (Thurs 1/3)
1984 2/3 were on those days (two Sundays) (Thurs 3/3)
1980 (1/2) were on those days (Thurs 1/2)

So I guess it's possible they were avoiding those days in the past and now they just don't care. But it's hard to guess intent. With Thursdays included, there's actually no pattern at all.

edit
If Thursdays are also included as a no go, you are starting to run out of days of the week. There'll be Survivor premier here and another tv show premier there, something else big. At some point you just got to pick your times and go with it. I mean, Fridays are probably bad because people go out to party or something. Accusing Hillary of rigging the debate days is complete nonsense, however.

double edit.
Okay, I conclude Trump's conspiracy is entirely and completely false at least going by historical patterns. The only pattern I see is that they used to hold debates on Sundays and do so no longer.

This is a little bit disengenuous to resume it this way, without any look at the actual arguments.

It's clear that being able to change your point of view is fine, but it is also fine for people to be skeptic until she proves that she legitimately changed her views, and that takes time.

If you change your stance in plenty things (not saying Hillary had), it is only natural to be wary.

Wait what??

Honest question: Do you care more about what a politician actually passes or what a politician believes deep down in their soul? If you care more about what they pass--then who cares what they believe? If you care about what they believe, then why does it matter what they can or can't pass?
