Apparently, quite a few job openings for Battle.net and related jobs have recently popped up on the Blizzard jobs page. Dunno if it was due to the recent layoffs, but there are definitely more B.net job openings now compared to last summer. | ||

It's an expansion, not a new game (less work). They're already well past their initial estimate for release. They already said 'months, not years' for beta something like 6 months ago. Why would they plan a announcement for a delay? It's far more likely that it's a beta announcement than anything else. | ||

Blizzard DOTA might very well be an announcement. But the reason Blizzard DOTA seemed to become so much more expensive was among other things problems with the editor. If they are announcing new information on 9/3-2012 you can be pretty sure they will announce something or the stock-markets will loose more confidence in them, which would be a catastrophy for Activision. | ||
