Players are allowed to talk to other teams in traditional sports even when they are under contract. Not in the NFL they aren't, at the very least.

Well they certainly do during free agency and I don't think LoL's free agency period is clearly defined enough at this point.

Okay, then my issue isn't so much with the poaching and more the lack of a clear definition of a free agency period and what that means for a player.

Not in soccer neither, they need permission from team the player has contract with, same in nba, so no idea where "Players are allowed to talk to other teams in traditional sports even when they are under contract"

who cares if it's allowed in traditional sports, it's all about a power balance anyway. is management allowed to talk to other players when they already hav ea guy under contract in that position?

I was wrong.

San and cool will stay with OMG, oh god oh god oh god if OMG could tame cloud we'll have possibly the best Chinese team ever

Am as gutted by the OMG UZI news as a not-very-invested fan could ever be. RIP all my favourite botlanes; none of them have survived the transfer season T_T (Imp-Mata, UZI-Zero, XQ-pyl)
Shall await the next China Talk episode, for the listing of lineups, if nothing else. (CN transfer market has been so busy/oblique @_@)

Zero is/was arguably better than Cloud though.

It depends on how we look at zero though, in starhorn zero is the perfect kind of support but if we took him out of starhorn idk. His greatest strengths line up with uzi's preferences which is what makes him so good for starhorn. I think if OMG can use cloud they'll be better off with him.
As long as luo or perish the thought dada7 isn't the support I think OMG is good to go.

well... rather than saying Zero is/is not a better (player/support) than Cloud, I'd say that Zero is possibly the best nanny UZI could ever have. Whereas Cloud seems to have more prominent playmaking tendencies. Both statements are heavily influenced by their team's playstyles though.

http://lol.esportspedia.com/wiki/IEM_Season_IX_-_Taipei/Qualifiers Forgot about this, ahq e-sports club is the first team to qualify for IEM Taipei. TPA and Yoe Flash Wolves will play for the second slot. For those curious about toyz's team they defeated unknown team PKP 2-0 before consecutive 0-2 and 1-2 losses to ahq and TPA respectively knocked them out.

anyway these restrictions are just league level anti-competitive measures, designed to give team more direct control over their players.

Well duh. These kinds of rules aren't anything new in the world of any kind of sports and should only surprise people that didn't pay attention to anything before esports.
