what's the point of a player search tournament when people like ReaL and slayers'crank are participating, who won't join anyway since they are already in a good and sponsored team.

Actual ReaL's not in a team... and CranK is a name to bring fans and more people to the tourney and streams

with the confirmations not even active yet this tourney is gonna be like an hour late, not the best pr for VP.

I give this troll tournament a 10/10 for making 40 people wait 1 hour in a chat channel.

I was actually contacted to cast this event by their "assistant-manager". I was excited at first, but soon learned nothing for this tournament was even arranged. I woke up early, set myself up to be ready for a 5 hour streaming session. Only to read in this thread it's actually not going to happen. Maybe I should've known better, talking to a 17 year old "assistant-manager".
The sign ups for this tournament made me believe it was legit, and going to happen. I expected that running a big prizepool like this would make sure the organisers had everything worked out(featured on TL generates atention+pressure). I even talked to some Playhem regulars to go and compete in this and I am sorry that I did.
VPgamers is definitely making a terrible first impression on me.

I don't think TL is going to be approving any more VPGamers events anytime soon. If a rep of VPGamers wants to PM me with an explanation, please feel free to do so.
EDIT:
The VPGamers SC2 Events Manager contacted me and stated that VPGamers isn't even looking to restart its EU roster in the future. Also, VPCharlie isn't part of the organization and hasn't been since the VP roster migrated to xSix. Therefore this tournament and/or troll is the work of a single individual without the knowledge of VPGamers.
The VPGamers admin team apologizes for not posting in this thread sooner.
