I have no idea if this has been said yet since I'm really not gonna read through 477 pages.
What I think is strange is that they make the announcement before SOTG giving them the opportunity to discuss everything about it first.
They could have just made the announcement 12 hours later, then their 'own' show Inside the game would be the first one.
So maybe the announcement has something to do with people on the SOTG cast.

Boss definitely has his own opinions, but he's pretty consistent in what he wants to do and he doesn't strike me as someone that would stab people in the back. He'll tell you if he's not happy with the situation.

It doesn't make it fall apart at all.
He's simply saying he doesnt' know specifically what the EG announcement is about. But he did mention on Reddit that Huk played his last game for Liquid already. The two statements are not incompatible.
Is it possible that EG is referencing Huk with the announcement? yes. Does Heosat 'KNOW' this? no.
