The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has confirmed 22-year-old, Aziz Sergeyevich Shavershian, of NSW has died overnight in Thailand. The Department said the autopsy was yet to be performed however it had been confirmed early Wednesday morning that the 22-year-old went into cardiac arrest twice, before emergency crews could arrive. Officials said Sergeyevich had an undiagnosed cardiac condition that may have contributed to his death.
The 22-year-old did not compete in bodybuilding competitions but built a strong reputation with tens of thousands of Facebook fans who admired his muscle-flexing and adopted his vision of "getting aesthetic".
Mr Shavershian, who began bodybuilding after completing his HSC to build strength and attract girls, lived in Eastwood in Sydney's northern suburbs and was a personal trainer, aspiring model and part-time stripper.
He also sold a whey protein supplement named Protein of the Gods.
Posts on a Facebook memorial page said Mr Shavershian suffered a cardiac arrest three days ago. His 25-year-old brother Said, who is also a bodybuilder and known as Chestbrah, said he was devastated by the death.
"Would do anything to have you back home safe with me. 22 years old. U were far too young," he wrote on Facebook.
"I F ... miss you sooo much my baby brother, I can't live without you comeback please. Don't do this to me."
Chestbrah was last week fined $400 in Parramatta Local Court for possessing anabolic steroids. Fanpage zzyzcentral.com said the cause and circumstances of Mr Shavershian's death were unknown: "It is a sad day for all of those whose lives Zyzz inspired and motivated. The best way we can cherish his memory is by living life to the fullest, by training hard, getting aesthetic and not taking life too serious."
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade confirmed the 22-year-old NSW man died in Thailand.
Not sure of the relevance this holds to many on TL, but he deffinately had a massive following in Australia, /b/ and /fit/. He is the sole reason I got involved in lifting and is a great source of inspiration for aspiring body builders world wide.
While his antics and character remain questionably antisocial, his message of motivation, or rather, self motivation was something that hit home with me and will be missed.
Sure it's sad, but roids will do that to a person.... and there is NO way to look that good without synthetic substances. Unfortunate - yes, Unexpected - no

Yeah its not like there are thousands of bodybuilders doing roids for years with minimal health issues.
Zyzz was the internet poster boy of drug abuse training in Australia. It's always sad when someone loses their life and it hits particularly hard when they are cut down so young and in their prime, but Zyzz was a drug cheat and a liar.
If we take anything from this it should be that there is value in hard work and that those who try to cheat their way to the top can sometimes fall a long way. Zyzz evidently still put in large amounts of hard work but clearly not as much as those who chose not to dope.
If Zyzz inspired a huge number of people to look healthy and take care of themselves, well then that's great. However, the fact that more people here know his name than those of people who worked hard to achieve their goals clean is a bit sad and telling.
This guy has admitted to being on Deca-durabin, Dianabol, Testosterone, Stanozolol, not to mention admitting to taking recreational drugs on top of that. It was an accident waiting to happen. I'm in no way saying he deserved this or anything sick like that, but the biggest contributor as it would seem right now with the death being attributed to heart failure is himself. It would be terrible to see others follow in his footsteps.
Not trying to be rude or disrespectful but when I saw Thailand and Cardiac Arrest I thought of Mr. Chow.
Regardless the dude looked like he was in perfect shape so to me its sort of a shock unless he already had cardiovascular problems. Also I saw a doc on Steroid Users and its not as bad as media and others make it out to be. Its still bad, but it doesnt pose as bad a thread at smoking does.

You know what? Im getting this weird feeling that you are just jealous of his physique because what you wrote doesnt make any sense.
Liar? he never lied about taking anything, there are plenty of quotes from him were he says what he was taking.
Cheat? last time i checked he wanst competing in anything. If you want to spend 10 years gaining 5lb by doing bodyweight exercises thats your thing, doesnt make you more righteous than him
They arn't magic drugs that make you more muscly lol
If you take roids, they effectively allow you to grow and recover much faster, so previously where you train and then have to take a 2 day break because otherwise your body would tire out, you can train 3x a day every day
Its not like you don't train at all and all of a sudden become strong. It lets people condense years of training into a really short period of time
----
^^^ i don't advocate taking them however. I certainly don't
How effing zyzz made his way to team liquid (much less 2 days later) I'll never know. On top of all the things mentioned already, I can't say I'm surprised.
From the picture I would've guessed he was a member of Jersey Shore or something and mainly made fun of but reading he had a following in /b/ he must've been kinda not-totally-stupid-cool in some way... I guess?
I bet his love of clen played a bigger role in this than his anabolic use, although his favorite steroid was trenbolone acetate and that stuff can be quite harsh. I bet it was a combination of a congenital heart issue, perhaps slightly irresponsible anabolic use, and large amounts of good ole regular drugs, the dude was a coke and ecstasy lover.
I'm still having my doubts regarding this, i mean he has faked his own death before just to troll people so this isn't exactly the first time. Then again, supaturk, chestbrahh and a lot of his other friends have confirmed it so i guess it's true.
Really sad to see him go, i'd be lying if i said he wasn't a huge inspiration for me.
It's always sad that when someone dies at the age of 22 but I don't understand how that guy could be a role model for anyone. A guy obsessed with looking good and taking roids and all kinds of drugs to get there shouldn't be a role model for anyone, period.
Sad death, but a juicehead gorilla is just not that admirable a figure to me. Heart failure was most likely caused by thermogenic supplements along with all the roids.

Died at 22 of heart problems but it aint no biggie? Get off his jock m8.
If you abuse drugs, especially the shit that fucks with your system you are asking for trouble. I highly double it was a pre-existing cardiac condition.. I would blame it on the extensive drug abuse.
Let this be an example to others who wanna get jacked but dont wanna put in the hard effort.
Holy fuck Zyzz was inspiring at bodybuilding forum allways enjoyed all the things he did and how he showed me pictures of him messing around trolling with girls on facebook chat etc.

Your total lack of knowledge concerning how swift congenital heart problems can rear their heads is astounding. Sure, the dude was hardly a role model, but millions of young male adults across the world live a similar life style, and most of them get away with it. Was he a "good" man? Maybe not, doesn't make his death any less tragic imo.
Not to be intentionally rude, but could someone please explain to me what made this chap so popular vs. the countless other narcissistic, juice-injecting meat heads out there? I see some people are talking about his inspirational message of self-improvement but what is inspirational about failing out of college and treating your body like a pharmacy? Honestly, I'm not trying to troll here - I want to see where people are coming from.

Is anyone naive enough to think that this was caused by a congenital heart defect? This thread is no different than the one after Ryan Dunn.

Except in Ryan Dunn's case he clearly put others at risk, which added a great deal of negativity surrounding his death. The fact is that millions upon millions of people use anabolic substances and cocaine everyday, and someones decision to live a risky lifestyle ought not to make their death any less tragic.

OP or mods can you add a post that anyone who doesnt know crap about steroids should just shut their mouth and either post condolences or post nothing at all?
seriously this thread just proves how little the world actually knows about steroids. Kinda ironic seeing as many people shove aside professional gaming just because they don't know anything about it and it's associated with being an antisocial basement dweller. Same thing happening here.

this kind of shit just makes me rage. wtf is steroid inhibited sickness? What the fuck? I can't stand ignorant people that feel the need to voice their opinions, especially when they're opinions that denounce others. I love when people say they can tell by the way the muscle looks that it's steroid built
I'm still hoping it's just a really distasteful troll that's gone too far. Zyzz is one of the main reasons I started lifting, I just can't accept it :<
Can someone link me to his backround story? I've seen his name but I really don't know the backround story. Many people seem to be inspired by him so I'd love to see what he's about.

After reading about this guy a little bit, i understand EVEN LESS why his life or death concerns the TL community at all whatsoever. And to all of you saying 'He was a huge inspiration' etc. this guy was obviously completely obsessed with his appearance beyond any fathomable level. He inspired you to hate the way you look and to 'Improve upon' yourself when, really, unless you are so overweight that you incur health risks, you dont need to fucking improve upon yourself in that way and no one has the right to tell you otherwise and / or pretend that your social status is entirely dependent on the way you look.
As with any other death RIP, but this is not a tragedy. Sorry.

The good ones go young I guess. I once talked to him on bb.com, he was actually a very articulate & intelligent guy when he was not putting on the persona. Rest in peace Az, may you be mired forever.
Also please cut the roid talk until his death is investigated fully. He was very knowledgable in that field, he'd know better than to randomly inject thai celltech.

What you dont normally hear is that you have to take other drugs to help your body start its natural production of test after a cycle of steroids otherwise your estrogen skyrockets and you literally grow breast tissue and start depositing fat everywhere.
The dedication that bodybuilders have is admirable, however, none of those drugs are natural and most of them are not good for you - period. I would venture a bet that he was taking several stimulants during a very intense training session and went into cardiac arrest. That combined with some intense doses of test, HGH, and god knows what else will do a person in very quickly. Arnold is one of the few who actually looks his age, the rest look like they are about 80 or 90. Also, just to show you how "healthy" this image is, here is 6 time Mr. O Ronnie Coleman literally unable to breath after flexing on stage.

You can look good, but not like that OP
I used to be a competitive bodybuilder. I got pretty big, 200lbs at 5'8" and yes, it is impossible to keep that look naturally. His arms are huge and he has a ripped six-pack. He is using, otherwise you have to bulk and cut, bulk and cut. Natural lifters simply time their cycles in order to hit a ripped period for a show. I dont know this guy either, never heard of him until this thread but if he always looked like that big and that ripped, then you can rest assured he had some illegal substances in his closet. A natural person may look similar, but will not be as big and exhibit that "dry" look at the same time without drugs.

There's nothing wrong with speculating about the cause of death of a 22yr old who is purportedly supposed to be in peak physical condition.
And your profanity is way out of line. Especially in light of you talking about "fucking class."
Also, I did not say he deserved to die. I said the cause of death was likely to be thermogenics, which have a long history of causing heart problems. Maybe learn some reading comp before spewing profanities and names.
Sometimes, I am not surprised at all by the people on TL.

A picture of Ronnie Coleman is perhaps not the best way to illustrate the effects of anabolic use, considering that he is a total genetic freak in the first place. What's important to note here is that appropriating the death of Zyzz for the cause of villainizing anabolic steroids is totally and completely wrong.

There's a slight difference between amateur bodybuilders that cycle var for a couple of weeks and people like coleman who has obviously had a steady stream of roids flowing through his body for the last decade.

Also that coleman picture, wouldn't he have to be very dehydrated to cut to that percent of body fat? That could be the reason why he was out of breath.

I do feel sorry for the guy, I think extreme bodybuilding is somewhat of an eating/ personality disorder. Hopefully he can relax now and feel comfortable in his own skin.
thanks for proving your ignorance about steroids. by your logic alcohol is neither dangerous nor unhealthy because it is legal while pot is both dangerous and harmful because it's illegal.
staying that ripped (low bodyfat) is very hard without drugs, however steroids aren't what keep you lean. And no not all steroids make you grow bitchtits or make you have acne. Most certainly when you run small doses.
guess what headache medication isnt natural either. neither is most food nowadays. harmful? I'm not dead yet and neither are you.
About Ronnie, thanks for showing a picture of a bodybuilder at 3% bodyfat. Getting that low is extremely taxing on the body. An arguement that you can't apply to steroid use in general since it has nothing to do with bodyfat reduction. and guess what: Arnold juiced too.

Don't talk out of your ass. You have no idea what happened, so shut the fuck up.
I can't even believe the crap that I've read in here. Someone dies and all you assholes have to say is, "he used roids he deserved it". Really? Show some fucking class, and either don't post of pay your respects. Sometimes I can't believe the people that are on TL.
RIP Aziz, just learned about you recently.
Yeah, you're right... You come in here where people are trying to pay their respects and my LANGUAGE is offensive to you... Guess I don't care. Would you really go to the funeral and sit there and say "yeah he was on roids, it was bound to happen". No, you wouldn't. So don't come in here and start all that crap.
After googling around a bit about his death some people said he was in a sauna and had possibly done some coke. All of that + possible heart damage from massive amount of roids doesn't make cardiac arrest a huge surprise.
