I didn't even use it. Me and my opponent both said "F it" and agreed to not waste our time using it.

wait WTF
I was online at the time given to us (or to me, given by the opponent) and yet I got a "forfeit"/loss...
... what do I do now?

Antimage,
You didn't get into the CMN3 client was required by the rules. There was a reminder in your match comm post (as everyone had) that it was required for use. Your opponent was there and waiting for you.

rofl I thought that was an antihack program? I was going to install it right before my game - I really don't like having 3rd party software on my computer so I don't install/download these things until i really have to...
You guys should really tell us what that program was about, instead of me finding out that it's MORE than an antihack.

I can see how that could get misconstrued Antimage. It's a lot more then an Anticheat. It's a communication tool that allows you and your opponent to chat before your match and in addition allows us to track everything on a match like when you logged in, logged out. Detect possible cheats on your computer, etc. It's quite a powerful program with a wide range of functionality that is always growing.
I hope to see you in the next tournament when the game comes out.

So, me and my partner Marf played the games, I reported I won 2-0 against him (I think it got reported?) and now we both got a forfeit? This has definitely been the single most confusing tournament setup I've ever seen.
|
So if your opponent didn't use the anticheat he's DQ'd? Is that why I advanced over Tanc?
|
The score wasn't reported for the match and MarF was in client so it was assumed the match wasn't played.
Why did you not use the client and MarF why did you let it be played without the client on both sides?
If MarF wants to give you the win I can fix it, but you will need to use the client. It is not optional.
|
I didn't know he wasn't using the client But ya give him the win, i got raped
|
Taken care of MarF.
Tanc, you have a BYE for your next match as the match before it ended in both opponents not playing the match.
|
I didn't know we had to have the anti-cheat thing, didn't even know there was one.
Regardless, thanks MarF

what a good guy! don't see that every day xD

I like the CMN3 ready room, it helps get the match underway a lot easier since you can talk to each other in it.
|
yes, cevo's layout is pretty unorganized.. however, if youre at all interested in the actual tourny, theres plenty of resources to read on their site to figure it out. i feel like a lot of players only want to compete in free tourny with prize without even reading the rules. my .02

It's a good thing i have experience with the CMN3 client from CS as it seems most people are confused... heh
|
woot passed the first round. I noticed Evil Geniuses got the boot though...
|
cmn 3 is a useless piece of garbage and cevo tourneys are incredibly unorganized and random

To much stuff involved. They are trying to make it easier, but in reality it's 10 times harder to someone who has never been in a CEVO tournament before.
