Avg cable connections are 5-12Mbits (business lines usually 15-25Mbits)

And sometimes depending on how unstable the server is the maintainance has lasted until 9pm EST, that was around two years ago.

Is there a way to modify the sc2 client to connect to the Europe or Asia server from North America? The North American server is down at the moment...

They also could have said "you dont get beta because we dont want you to play the game" Be glad they are even letting us play. Pissing and moaning because you havent paid a cent for the game and, Blizzard is graciously letting you play it should be reason enough not to complain

Despite the fact that they are allowing us to play a game before it is even released. So comparing special privileges to the mass execution of a people seems vastly inappropriate.

Common sense would dictate that during this downtime for WoW, they would also be fixing any other problems they find on battle.net etc. It's not like they are vastly inefficient and take everything down to work on 1 game, and then leave the rest for another time. Odds are really great that they are working on battle.net servers as a whole.
