I cant wait till VODs are up. I missed the epic mine drag that took out all of Jangbi's probes.
Soft spot for Zerg....

In that last game Jangbi must've been robbed of 90% of his scarab shots, yet continued harassing and went on to win it. Thats pimp.

But objectively, that series was better than I could expect. I thought it would be boring and onesided, a la Nada vs Free, but Nada really stepped up his game this series, and made for some good games.

Just goes to show how protoss can make more mistakes and still win given about equal skill levels (i.e. dual proxy gate in enemy base, losing a reaver, scarab duds, DTs not very effective, etc.). The metagame is how much your mistake means to the outcome of the game and toss are the least affected.

Game 5 was won fair and square though, tech switch and constant ground pressure did its job. I noticed that Nada is quite vulnerable to reaver harrass and gets distracted.

Exactly. We'll see what comes.

On another note, I wouldn't count Savior out of anything yet. Zerg vs Zerg is possibly the easiest match-up to lose in and ZerO is a lot better than most give him credit for. As long as Savior isn't completely shattered by the loss, he'll be back. The fire runs through his veins again, that much is certain.

great series, very entertaining games where both guys played really well

sucks nada didn't win, but now that we're back in reality here, jangbi is a sick motherfucker. nada had a pretty big advantage in game 5 and jangbi just took it away like it's all so easy

really cool series, these are games i'm sure i'll watch more than a few times

i'm not quite sure where you thought that nada had a huge advantage.

nada was behind from the moment he lost his barracks. that ruined his factory timing by a lot. jangbi was always at least +1 expo ahead of him, plus nada didn't see his carrier tech switch until about 30-60 seconds too late. imagine if he had 12 goliaths instead of 6 when the first 3 carriers came out and started attacking.

Wow, that was such a great series, AND game 5 couldn't have been better to cap off the series. Sure, there were 3 cheese games in the middle. And although the carthage game was lame, the other two were exceptional in terms of beautiful micro from both sides.

I must say that Jangbi has changed quite a lot in his PvT since his early days of macro until I hit 200/200 and a-move you to death. The way he kept up his harrasses over and over until Nada just could not defend it anymore was simply amazing. And delayed Nada's push just long enough for Carriers.

Speaking of which, when was the last time Carriers were used in a pro-game by someone not named Rock? Nice to see some carriers again after so long.
Meh

I love when players cheese. It makes for short micro intensive games, where every mistake may cost the game. I just cant seem to enjoy a long drawn out macro game as much especially TvP. What I mean is a godlike macro is not as spectacular as some uuber micro it just more exciting to whatch.

you must be a big fan of jangbi, there aren't too many players who use reavers as intelligently as he does. 90% of protoss just make a suicide beeline for the scvs

I won't call myself a jangbi fan, but now when you say it I dont see a reason why I shouldn't. I like all kinds of cheese for example + Show Spoiler +
Luxury vs Leta 5pool, omgomg, when the vulture came out it was so close... or skyhigh vs jaedong on destination

Agreed.

However, game 5 tonight was fantastic.

Yeah. I was recently watching some old games and after the barracks went down, I thought that going for carriers might throw NaDa off even more.

Did he? Shit, he's about to retire then...
I think this series is perfect example of why he should not. Unless he grew tired of it, and well, hes been around for quite a while...
