How to Watch: Daum Player - They will not be broadcasted on DaumSports, and as of right now this is the only way that I know of, so prepare for massive lag or waiting on results updates throughout the night.
a few notes: - OO[S.G] has the same name as inyeon[3.33] (박정훈), but it said he plays on Woongjin so I searched KeSPA's site and got OO[S.G]. Dunno if it's the same person and he got traded or something or what. - I have no clue who the SKT Protoss in Group N is. If someone could figure that out I'd appreciate it.

Han knocked Jaedong out of the last OSL qualifiers 2-1 when Jaedong's ZvP was still in godmode. He lost a close series to Rock to get into the OSL. Violet is a protoss player on KTF, who, regarded by the general public, should never play in proleague matches.

holy shit i thought Zeus retired ages ago. also could the OP be udated with a picture of "how it works" like the MSL picture in the other thread, where it shows where the players are coming from, and where they are going or whatever?

No its not that. (and again, it might just be me doing a shit job of understanding the information given but...) to me its easy to follow that MSL diagram and understand how each stage progresses (except for maybe the "Offline" stage. I get that it starts with 195 players, and it somehow gets down to 24, wich move onto Suvivor, but I don't quite get the process. It says Single Elimination, wich just means a giant bracket style tournament, and once its down to 24 the brackets end, and they move on ? and what does 24 x (8/9) suposed to mean ?)
whereas using only these images, I have a lot more questions about the OSL process.
Fair enough, but the images were designed to supplement the FAQ rather than be standalone. Although, I take on board what you're saying and the next time the image needs to be redone we'll re-do the image to make it more standalone friendly.

Leta has been really strong TvT according to TLPD, taking out a lot of big names. That could be trouble for Idra, but he still has a shot if he plays smart.

what if i were to provide you with images ?
of me naked.
no but really, what if i whipped up something new that could explain it better, as a standalone ?

Leta dosent have great TvT, the only good terran hes taken out is forgg

Leta's TvT is strong, Idra will need a miracle to get out of that group if he faces Leta. His TvT is actually his best MU % wise.
Leta last ten TvTs since July: Win Baby Win ForGG Win Hiya Loss Canata Loss ForGG Loss Iris Win FBH Win Puma Win Sunny Win Sea Loss Piano Win Hwasin
I count 5 quality wins (ForGG, Hiya, FBH, Sea, Hwasin) and only 1 bad loss (Piano) His other 3 losses are against top tier TvT players (Canata, ForGG, Iris)

Didn't Favian get utterly destroyed by GoRush in MSL prelims? Like, he infested his main CC with a Queen.
Idra's group aint hard. Leta is hard. The group aint. Han is alright, at least in prelims, but eh. Other than possibly han, and especially Leta, everyone is at or around Idra's level. It's the best group he could hope for, especially since he aint facing Leta right away.
He wont make it out, but he wont get 0-2'd by someone with a golden mouse lol...
Maybe not the hardest group for idra but a nice one. Some interesting players.
But who does he play first? If he plays Leta first he's dead, obv. But against the others we may get to see a nice game. I mean, Leta is so on fire. He may very well win this OSL.
Yeah, for Idra it is a very good group. But han, Violet, TT and especially Leta are so much better thna Idra. And if he wins the first game against flying (2:1 maybe) he has to play vs Leta in the 2nd round and vs Leta he is going to lose 2:0.
If Idra somehow makes it to the Ro16, would it be the first time a complete rookie made it that far in his first OSL prelim? I know it's impossible, but it would certainly be exciting.

All of Air Force ACE was absent from both the MSL and OSL prelims this season, supposedly because of poor Proleague results. It really sucks for BoxeR, he's gonna be out of the military in like a week after these prelims and then he'll just have to wait for another 3 months to qualify for a StarLeague.
Idra couldn't have asked for a better group, really. His group's kind of weak. Granted, Leta's in it, and that's always going to be a challenge, but past that most of the protosses haven't really been living up to their potential which is perfect for a player like Idra to win a group.
iloveOOv making it out would make me ridiculously happy.
I don't think IdrA would be dumb enough to underestimate anyone in an OSL Offfline prelim. Anyways, something close to a miracle would have to happen if IdrA were to make it out of his group. Even if he can take on Flying, him beating Leta seems veeeeery unlikely.
Hm... All the players i really care for are allready seeded as it seems except:
Calm/Idra/Forgg/Oov/Iris/Kal-Fighting!
How can you think Idra will make it through his group. It is the easiest one for him, but if he will win the first match (2:1 maybe), he will have to play vs Leta just in the 2nd round. And Leta will completly destroy him 2:0. Idra is not bad vs zerg. He has a good marine control. But to play vs protoss and terra is completly different.

As others pointed out your use of statistics is shaky at best, but your underlying point is valid. In fact Leta just beat Canata...so yea..but who knows anything can happen, he might pull a forgg and fall down the steps or something.
edit: Furthermore as you may not have noticed, velr also picked tossgirl to win a group, so debating his prediction abilities is somewhat silly, lol.
I'm sure Idra reads those predictions and just prints the paper and wipes hes ass with it. He will go berserker mode and at least win he's group for sure.

Doubters will be punished! .
Nah, in some groups there were just players i couldn't care less about and because of that i don't exactly know how they play and for that just picked the ones i would like to win, no matter how unrealistic.
And btw: Imagine the erruoption if TossGirl AND Idra would win theyr groups... Biggest WTFs in Progamer history ^^.

You can not compare Movie with Leta. Leta played 51 games. Movie 4.
I just said Idra is not going to win vs Leta. Letas best mu is TvT and I never saw Idra play against a pro T in Korea. So I don't know how good Idra's TvT is. But I think it is not good enough to beat Leta. Even with a cheese.

How do you know so much about idra's level?
I personally don't think I can judge about his current skill level only because I haven't seen enough of him against pros lately to say that he sucks and "his tvz is ok but his tvt and tvp are bad". It can have completely changed compared to how it was before he went to korea.
That's just my personal opinion , I may be wrong of course.

What is your problem?
I said that I never saw how Idra plays against a korean pro T or P. And that I don't know how good his mu vs T is. His TvZ is for a foreigner ok / good (but July destroyed him really badly). But I think his TvP is not good enough to beat Fly. And I think his TvT is not good enough to beat Leta, whose best mu is TvT.
His last "official" match vs protoss was a game vs White-Ra (08-05-11) in the TSL and he lost 2:1. I wasn't very impressed by his games. Maybe it changed completly during the last 7 months. But I don't think so.
I watched Idras games against stork- fantastic. I watched his games in gom- and well, the first one was fantastic.
His tvz/tvp are very good, b team pro gamer good [i.e better than all but 1-4 foreigners]. Though he might have some trouble with nerves. I don't know his tvt.
It doesn't matter though, because at best his tvt is going to b team pro gamer good, and Leta is an ace for OGN. He's going to lose. Simple. The same assumption would be made about any b team pro gamer that was going to face Leta. Mind you there is a small chance he could win, and hopefully he does, or gives a respectable showing. I think he has every capability to beat his protoss opponent and reach Leta. But his chances to actually beat Leta and advance from the group are slim. That is fine. He hasn't been in Korea for a very long time, its not really a bash against his skill. He's still getting better, and in time his results will obviously improve quite a bit.
I think Idra can possibly beat anyone in his group outside of Leta... but Leta is hardcore. There are very few Terrans who I would say have a chance against him.
Zerg 2 hatch muta prevented Terrran to expand. T now expand but his command center is on fire and he lost a lot of units. Meanwhile Z has his third gas and den up. T going Goliaths atm.
New game Z vs P on Chepyoungjong. P fast expand and three cannons, Z went semi-all in with tons of lings and killed two of them. P replaced the two cannons while Z takes two new bases, continues to MASS lings.
PvZ Jangbi vs CJ someone on Chupung... let's see P has 2 base and Z 3. Dragoon killing overlord. Sair killing another one. Scourges out but cannon in main. Now hydras.
But it easily got shut down, Z now with a group of mutas trying to take out templars. Zealot speed and attack done. Half as many dragoons as zealots in that army but doesn't seem able to get out. Templars getting sniped and Z taking fourth gas. WOW great templar sniping, observers out but no lurker yet.
Fast dropship for T landing in main outside of vision but somehow Jaedong finds it and rapes all marines with lings and hydras. One more drop melting lings but lurker is there no drones killed. Loses three drones dropship army is wiped out. Z still on 2 base and T 1, Jaedong teching to hive.
T is koala btw. Er he just gg:ed didn't want to play one base it seems.
i can't even tell who just GG'd.. i think it was red terran.. was that FBH? i know they showed a clip of him and coach january behind him. then again that was 5-10 minutes ago, and before that they were showing some ZvZ game. who know's.. this lag is a real blower
