Effort has been nothing short of inspired this whole GOM Tournament, at least we still have him to cheer for... and Jaedong of course.

sAviOr played amazingly. Please quit saying stupid things like 2006/7 savior would have won this - no, he wouldnt. The level of play has heavily evolved since then, and these games proved that sAviOr has finaly evolved with it. Worth noting his win came on Destination, a horrible ZvP map, also impressive.
Looking back, i just realized how often sAviOr and free have met up in early rounds of tournaments. Someone should explore that in a blog post or something.
*Edit* and Jaedong!
Free has met up with either sAviOr or Jaedong in almost every tournament he has been in, and in proleague.

Honest question: When game 3 started I couldn't help but think to myself "Savior knows clear as day that free is going to forge expand, why doesn't he just 4/5 pool and take an easy win?"
I don't understand why more zerg players don't do this when it's obvious that their P opponent is planning on fast expanding. Anyone else think this wouldn't have been a bad choice on a 3 player map (easy to find your opponents spawn location to rush at)?

way to go Free!
We need to bring July back in for the diamond mouse if the protoss race starts some kind of a domination, but then again if he faces only protoss players it would be an entertaining one sided rapes like Ever 2008 . Well at least the final was the other series that he played were somewhat boring even for a ZvP fan such as me .
GodOfWar >>>>>> protoss forever .
I agree that Savior is out of his slump he just needs to improve his play a bit more , he was playing great, but sadly he made a few mistakes that cost him the third set in which he was in a good position to win and a pretty close second set thought a 1 dragoon win ... I personaly don't mind if Savior loses if he can bring us close and entertaining games like that . Althought i would have been happier if he won .

Savior also could have won set 2 by microing his zerglings when they counterattacked free's base. If he'd done that, free wouldn't ahve had the unit count nor the economy (to keep pumping goons) to allow him to kill off the muta army.
Still the fact that it was such a close series against a P player who has been really strong lately is a sign of improvement. I doubt we'll see him win another 3 titles in one year, but it would be nice to see him win a starleague or even just make the finals.

Interesting observation! I checked the TLPD and of the 67 PvZ matches free has listed, 13 are against Jaedong and 12 against sAviOr.

He also could have won (or more likely, forced a stalemate) if he jumped a drone through his natural's mineral line and built his extractor at the secret expo instead of at 6.

there is pattern in GOM, 3 of the same race wins the day or 3 of the same race loses the same day.

Ya that was kinda dumb for Savior. For someone that played a elimination recently on Neo Requiem, he should know better.

Damn, seems Savior still isn't out of slump, he should have beaten free with ease after Free's yesterday hard loss.

I honestly don't think there is a Zerg on the planet that can beat free right now, he gave Jaedong a solid schooling sAviOr stood up better than even he did.

sAviOr shouldnt've won game 3, and he didn't. Free's zealot archon nullified savior's early mutas. If Free had lost, that would be a discredit to him, not a credit for savior, imo.
